Are you saying this is different than the "Emblem of Valor" that is created by jewelers using a Yellow Diamond of Valor, an enchanted bar of Valorium, and a blank emblem? edit /stupid on Different than the "Emblem of Valor" used for the Valorium Ring of Gallantry?


I'll clarify to be more technically accurate. Emblem of Valor is used in a Jewelcraft recipe for PoP. edit /stupid off All or nearly all PoP recipes for final products require an associated "Emblem of XXX" for the final combine. Emblem of Valor is one of those associated "Emblem of XXX".

Edit: I was wrong on the emblem of valor being required. Most tailoring and smithing recipes do require Emblem of XXX, such as Nightterror clothing, or the various legendary platemail armors. Valor, however, is missing. It makes me curious whether it has been tested or not.

I must be missing something; Emblem of Valor is not used to create the Valorium Ring of Gallantry that I'm aware of? And, nearly all of what PoP recipes for final products require an associated Emblem of XXX for the final combine? Maybe for a specific skill? I've never used one in any of the combines I've made in pottery or JC. I thought (and could be very wrong) that these emblems were a product (not component) of JC, used as a component for tailoring.

What am I missing?

There is 1 JC recipe that uses an emblem instead of just the diamond. The Helm of Nocturnal Phantasms uses an Emblem of Nightmare -- but this is an exception, not the rule, and is why that one recipe took so much longer than the others to figure out. It wasn't the usual recipe.

I thought the emblems were used for the planar armor as well. (Haven't made any of that myself).

You are right, I am wrong.

The ring does indeed NOT take the emblem as I thought it did. I will have to recant and say as far as I can tell there is NKN for the Emblem of Valor. Other Emblems are indeed used as I said, I should have been more thorough in my fact checking.

A brief search on smithing indicates valor bitss/sheets/rings are DNC, and I'll slink back to my corner now.
