  • Forglock cultural pattern turn in problem

I collected torn sash, tartanula abdomen, low qual cat pelt, a spider vemon sec...Went to the trades npc...said I want to make a pattern book...handed the items to him and ............he wont take them. I get "you must turn in all items at the same time to complete this quest". Anyone else have this problem? Is the froglok quest guy bugged? Did I miss a step? The only thing i can think of is, I didnt loot the LQ pelt, I had a MQ pelt in the bank and took it down to a LQ pelt. I didnt think it would matter....do I actually have to find and loot the LQ pelt in one of the desert zones for it to work?

It looks like SOE attempted to stop the multi-questors, and accidently bugged him. /bug is your best bet.

      Retried turn in

I retried this turn in today with the same result. Can anyone confirm that they are able to get pattern book from the froglok trade skill quest NPC?

Do you have to do all 4 cultural book quests...

In order to get the pattern book?

No. I did the pattern book first, as did many others when they first came out.

Does the task pop up in the task window? You may actually get preflags for looting the items if they are listed as task steps. If you looted them before you began the task that could be your problem.

No the task does not appear in the pop up window. I was on the Master's Book task and decided not to finish it and just work on Expert armor. I dropped the Masters quest, went and looted the items for the pattern book, then went to the task master npc, tried to do the turn in. Maybe Im flagged for the Master's task even tho i dropped it....and i cant do the pattern book until ive finished it. Dont know. Sony give me the standard..."this is a quest and a state secret, sorry cant help you, please refer to the our KB and/or the community...blah, blah" answer to a petition. I did to a /bug report. I think its a bug. Any other thoughts would be helpful. I think will go finish the Master's quest and then try to pattern book agian and see what happens. Very annoying.

I got my HIE pattern book before doing any of the tasks to get the Journeyman/Expert/Master/grandmaster books. I hailed the guy, followed the dialogue, and then handed him my four items in one trade. I was returned my book. No task involved, unlike the Journeyman/Expert/Master/grandmaster books.

So I would assume that it is bugged for you if it did not work this way. I don't see that it would be linked to which task you are on; it's was just a regular turn-in.

The quest isn't bugged, you need a snake venom sac, not a spider venom sack
