I am working on this quest and the drop rate of the goblin hides in stillmoon sucks. As you have to be in a mission and the only two missions I've found for stillmoon temple are 2h+ with 38 crystals reward - it's hard to pursue a group to do one of these missions instead of dcs mission which only lasts 40 minutes for the same amount of crystals.
Does anyone know another mission to stillmoon temple that holds a significant amount of goblins and is doable in less than one and a half hour?

On the Emoush event I looted a ton of goblin skins on the plow. Not sure if they are the right ones for you. Those gobbies hit pretty hard, but I guess there's no reason why you couldn't start the mission with just a few people and take out the 50 or so goblins in the area for their drops. Bring a good puller and/or some CC or the adds will make life difficult.

Only goblins in Stillmoon counts for the human GM quest. More specifically, only a goblin with the word "Stillmoon" in their name counts.

Easy skins and gobs

Do the Puma Blood quest.

(1) Zone in, kill puma in the room immediately on the left. It's the 3rd mob in.
(2) Pull to and kill puma in the 2nd room in the right. It's like the 8th mob in.
(3) Kill goblins for 30 minutes.
(4) Kill those two pumas again.
(5) Go back and get your 38 crystals.

Total time spent = 40 minutes. You should get 3-5 skins each run.

If you bring along some level 61-62s it will be easier, since you only have to kill 3 pumas.

You'd think so, but the next step still required me to turn in four of the infected bloods, so I had to run back to the mission, kill the first puma again, and run back. (And I did try turning in 3 to Cedwhatever to see if it was just a typo).**

the barb book also needs the goblin skins. this is where it shows that makeing it such a restrictive set up hurts those of us interested in doing these. the drops either need to be from any goblin in an instance, or from stillmoon goblins in or out of an instance.

and see as how i am on the "good" side of DoN, the puma blood one will not always be an option. mostly i am stuck with the 2 stillmoon ones that just suck for trying to do this quest.

Goblin skins acquired during an Emoush raid do NOT count towards the goal. I know, I've looted and cursed. And so have the others in my guild who asked to be put on the looter list for the raid. They too have looted and cursed. Sorry, no dice.

Is anyone working on the other human quest, with the spiders? Been wondering if this one would be "easier" to get the drops in the DoN instances...

I have done the Qeynos lavaspinner one. As long as you can find groups willing to do Lavaspinners, it is extremely easy from what I have seen. Until these recent few where I had to split, I was on a course to kill about 160 spiders by the time I looted 80 eyes. Good drop rate to kill rate and the zone isn't all that difficult for the crystals.

Sadly, I'm stuck doing the goblin task as a Freeport human. Any other tips on collecting the skins? Most in my guild are on "good" faction....I haven't done a large variety of missions (the drakes many times, the creator, and the spider one really are all I've done) so I'm not quite sure which ones (is it ones with "Stillmoon" in the name?) have the Stillmoon goblins.

My Paladin is also a Human from freeport. If you are human, you can get the tasks from either Qeynos or Freeport. I think it is similar with Half Elves too.

Would never hurt to check and try, because to be honest, you'll save yourself a lot of headache in the end.

Hmmm...I went to Qeynos, hailed the NPC and they told me to go back to my own city! I will try this again to make sure I had the right one....
