  • Mistletoe Powder - Journeyman Wood Elf Cultural

    Hey Folks,

To make a Journeyman's Wirewood Mithril Bar, do you need a Pouch of Mistletoe Powder or just Mistletoe Powder? Both are these are listed in Lucy as seperate items.

If the answer is Mistletoe Powder, does anyone know where it drops? Thanks in advance!

You need the Pouch of Mistletoe powder, which drops off certain brownies that wander in Lower Faydark (not the static ones in the 'village')

I'd already posted about this on EQLive in Absor's thread (or maybe on the EQTC thread, I forget), but you may want to /feedback in-game, as well, as teh brownies you have to kill to get the powder are higher in level than the recommended level of the Journeyman armor!

      Observations and suggestions...

Don't forget that they wander around an area chock full of wonderful and friendly NPCs, like Equestrielle the Corrupted (happy, shiny SK Unicorn who likes to annihilate low-level folk) and the brownie scouts, an armageddon-boy band of druidic bushwhackers...

This is NOT an appropriate material for low-level wood elves of any profession to use for Journeyman level armor - they'd hafta bring a full group around mid-30s, with a tracker, to even have a chance of getting *1* drop.

How's about Evergreen Leaves (ground spawn) or Cinnamon Sticks (GFay specific forage, which all Wood Elves can do) ?

I wonder if they meant to put have those drop off of the brownie wanderers in GFay or Steamfont? Those are low level mobs. The ones in Steamfont are in a level that would be appropriate to level 15 or so.

You know, I have to disagree with you Al. Back when I was 15 I was in there all the time, I did get stomped on occasionally but you know, my 36 bard and 25 chanter get stomped in E Karana by that dumb dwarf every now and again too....

My problem is that I have only ever seen Underbush up once in the 3-4 hours hunting for him in my down time. I got track, I know somewhat where he should be, I kill the oldest things on my track... tring to get him to pop.... <shrug> I just want to make me a set of armor, not even to re-sell..... I've only managed to make one piece.

            Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Log in, go there, track, kill.
Pause / LFG ? Yep, go there, track, kill.
Logging off ? Yep, go there, track, kill.

Yep, I submitted most of the journeyman wealdstone pieces. Around 30 kills of Thistle Underbrush.

              PS. I'm lvl 70 druid

                More questions

                G'day!

I don't suppose you could share more details.

More details added in this colour.

What kind of spawn time? Every 4 hours, every 5 min? Once a day?

Random spawn, any time day or night, with as litle as 90 sec between spawns(or so some nice guy with new info in alla's says.)

Does he spawn randomly in the zone? Up near the brownies? Near the ranger camp? Over by the BB, GF entrance?

I've now seen him in the middle of the zone by the rangers and in the middle of the east half of the zone. The problem with farming him is that he is so fast that you will pass each other without track.

At this point the research I've done on farming him has told me that he walks(fast) in the western side of the zone ending up at the ranger camp where he dies, and his spawn rate has been drastically reduced sometime in the last year. He has no known PH that anyone has identified. The other Underbrush, his brother, who I've never seen also drops the pouch.

I've only ever found him stuck in a tree near the rangers.

Oh well, I guess I'll keep trying somemore.

MY second attempt to kill him didn't go so well. Finally had to fear him and flee(36 bard) He landed all his spells, in two seperate encounters... that's 1000 hp a min boys and girls and all my bard has got at the moment. In addition he healed himself back up to 75% about the time I hit 10% in both my encounters with ihm last night. If he is still there I'm going to fear kite him tonight.

Thanks, any help would be appreaciated!
