DE Cultural - How?

I have started all this and just got the Journeymans book. When I looked in it, it was only descriptions of how to make the armor. Is this true even of the GM book or do I *need* to get hold of that to get molds and patterns or is everything needed to make the armor bought of a vendor?? I actually feel a little confused, and after having spent 3 hours to look for a Raw-hide belt, I was hoping to get an explanation of this before I go off on a wild goose-chase.
