Well I personally would love to see some trade skill items equal to level of raid gear. Maybe some required level 250 in multi trade skill all item in combines no drop so requires u to be say 250 in at least 3 trade skills to make the item and get VT level gear. 275 required level for EP level gear and 300 required to do combine for 200-250hp level gear.

Some will agure that this would make gearing to easy but if u say to make this requires 300 skill in brewing for temper, another 300 in tailoring to do padding for the armor, and 300 in smithing to do final combines u see how not alot will be able to do this but would give a new way to progess other then raids. Maybe some pottery or something to create special augs etc.

I personally have the time and love to raid but would like to see a way to progess my gear on the side etc.

Like most sets, this isn't going to work for everyone. But those in higher raiding guilds will generally have better in most of these slots, so these are targetted more for the more casual raiding or non raiding guilds as a way to improve themselves.

Legs/BP's are the hardest to upgrade so most folks will first lean toward those. But the arms have a +DS/regen effect (at least some do), there's FT and other things.

Folks who exp in DoNS a lot can get the metallic drake scales or whatever other items are needed by other cultures for the GM stuff (or go down to expert stuff).

Just got my GM book here and failed on my first sleeve attempt, so not a lot of experience making it and fully made dwarven GM items aren't in the database yet so my experience is a bit low on their quality of stats I admit.

the only change i think needs to be made to all the DON armor, drop the required/recomended levels by 5 levels each (master 50/55, grandmaster 60/65)

I have a feeling the tradeoff for bracers was supposed to be an easy way to aquire FT, while sacrificing HPs and/or AC. I still think the one FT instead of two on the GM bracer is a bug that will increase the value of the bracer tremendously.

That's fine for the GM-level armours... but I have no real issues with those.

            The Master's level stuff however...
            1) Much higher recommended level than BD Cultural (Plate).
            2) Roughly equal or lower AC than BD Cultural (Plate).
            3) Similar recommended level to Magnetic/Bazu/Feran/Murkglider.
            4) Required level of 55 for no clear reason.
            5) Lower AC/Stats compared to Magnetic/Bazu/Feran/Murkglider.
            6) Pretty-much have to make it with the character who's going to wear it, if you're not part of a huge tradeskill network group... and sometimes even if you are. (Nobody is making Half-Elven Cultural Plate on Xegony that I know of.)
            7) Unbalanced Master-level Quests. (You can't tell me that it will be just as easy to complete the Half-Elven quest in DN as it was to complete the High Elven quest in FG. The accessibility difference alone is obvious.)

Another issue: A guildmate last night was saying how nice they thought the DoN GM Cultural BP was and how they were thinking to gather the supplies, knowing that I was the "Guild Smith" and would be happy to do the combines. Unfortunately I wasn't at my PC at the time so I couldn't tell him that I couldn't make the armour for his Vah Shir... in fact, I can't make the armour for anyone in the Guild but myself and the other High Elven Cleric.
