  • Ancestral Quest Books?

Ok every guide i've read says that there are 4 quests in the race tradeskills.

However, if you follow the text there are actually 5 different sets of patterns you can make. The fifth one is actually the first one from the "Ancestral" Book. Journey Man it appears to be the 'first' book. Ancestral is actually the first book you can get for you level.

I have looked and can't see a purpose or a hint as to what recipes are for this armor. If you follow the book you end up with a bag of patterns, or some molds. I'm a half elf but can't seem to find a recipe, I've tried a few but can't seem to find something that works.

Since you have newbie quest armor, and can make patchwork armor/banded it seem like there really isn't a new for another layer of armor.

So, what is the purpose of doing this quest in the first place? Any clues if the recipes are even in the game?

Look at the thread "The Complete and Finished Guide to DoN Armor…" for a thorough explanation.

There are four levels of Ancestral armor for each class. The word ancestral will not be in the name of the piece. The Ancestral Armor book for your race is required to make the molds/patterns for ALL DoN cultural armor. Only one book is necessary as the patterns/molds stay the same for different levels of armor. The other ingredients determine what level or armor is produced.

There are four other quests are for AUGMENTS that can be placed in this armor. The augments also come in four levels and will also be 'blessed' for a specific deity. The armor alone is just so-so, but the armor plus the augment is very nice.
