    G'day,

Wow, without a geerlock eh? I'll admit I had a small sample size but skilling up in the 160-170 range of smithing seemed normal without a geerlock. About 1 in 15 combines, or about one a stack as I was going at it. With geerlock I got nothing for 100 combines. I'll be doing a little experiment on the weekend about this, but no, it doesn't sound like this is your problem. :/

I do see various people citing reasonable skillup rates at low levels in smithing, tailoring, and brewing. Maybe the problem is specific to certain tradeskills? Has anyone seen reasonable skillup rates in pottery in the 120-180 range lately? How about jewelcraft, which is the other that I keep seeing rants about?
As I said, smithing in this range seems okay....

    Take care, and good luck.
I call for the elimination of EQ levels 1-50.
