    Rather then rehash why the recent lowering of Tailoring trivials was such a blunder, I had come up with a solution that I feel addresses all the issues both sony and the players should agree is fair.

    1) Set Solstice robes at 302 Trivial. This makes all unused supplies usable again, but also makes skilling up harder via the "I hope I fail" method which is behind these.

    2) Lower Gem Studded Chains to 275 Trivial. These are a subcomine so they should be easier then the final result. It also eliminates them from being a skill up path for those last few JC points.

    3) Sliding scale for Velious Leathers. Set all the recipes that either use 1 Stud or 1 Bonning at 252 Trivial, any with 2 studs or bonnings at 262 trivial, any with 3 at 277, with 4 at 292, and Arctic Wyvern tunics at 312. This does many things. Most importantly all the stock piled stock piled supplies are now usable again, even if players now need to aquire lots more Velium to make use of hides. (Ever Orc miner just pooped their pants after reading that). It also makes the path to 252 as easy as ever since the lower trivial = more success = more skill ups, but also makes players work more to reach 300 which was also an intention. As I note, I intentionally jumped the trivials gaps at 3 and 5 studs because of them being made in pairs rather then having an even spread between trivials.

    4) The only recipes which I feel really need to have had their trivials lowered are the Karana & Tunare arrows to ~275. Until a similiar option is available to everyone then this will continue to be along the lines of JCM, another mistake Sony won't acknowledge

    I could accept that, if cobalt drake and black panther skin items were on the same scale.

    Haze pantherskin items still needs to be at a higher trivial, however. Not because their final product is so much more desirable, but because I'll recieve 3 haze panther skins for every 30 black pantherskins in a full six-hour day of constant panther annihilation.

    Oh, and look at the freakin tradeskill issues list! Give us a break-down of velium weapons for velium ore. This is an acceptable solution, but will only compound the need for more sources of velium ore for tradeskillers.

      Fletching alternative could be a " dud- arrow" with a similar recipe as the karana/woodelf arrows but available to all classes, same effort/cost curve and trivial but no deity/class restrictions

      Who would really care that the arrows have no better stats or no stats at all

      Ceremonial arrow of harmony sounds like a nice name :P

        Why not make velious leathers use more hides per equipment slot with scaling trivial? And furs the same.

        Ya, it is harder farming, but velious tailoring always did puzzle me that the same amount of material used to make a glove can make a tunic.

          That sounds like a great compromise. Here's the one I thought of:

          1. Make ceremonial solstice robes 335 trivial, but make them consume the gem studded chain on both success AND failure. This makes it cost prohibitive for most to skill up on this, but still possible to do so.

          2. I totally agree with your idea on the sliding scale for velious leathers -- keep the recipies the same, and make the trivial level correspond to how many studs/bonings are used in the recipies.

          1 stud or boning = 252
          2 stud or boning = 262
          3 stud or boning = 277
          4 stud or boning = 292
          5 stud or boning = 312

          Just like the trivial level for the velious furs increases with the number of hides used. This makes perfect sense and is much better than "all are 335 trivial" or "all are 252 trivial". Seems obvious to me that an entire tunic made out of arctic wyvern hides is more difficult to make than just a simple mask.

          I also like the idea of making no fletching cultural combine have a trivial higher than 275 OR making some arrow using steel ore that followers of people other than karana can produce.

            I'm not really seeing why WE have to compromise here. We got the shaft. A compromise like the above still hurts everyone who had saved up enough items for a TS run, while assuming that they'd be making only masks, or wouldn't have to spend 50k more on solstice robe chains.

            This is a major blunder on SoE's part, and there's no reason why those who have banks full of supplies should have to compromise.
