Definitely something to /feedback in game - I'm pretty sure Maddoc and associates are busier than on-armed paper-hangers with the patch being tested every which way. Gotta agree that a Symbol with FT and Mana on it is going to be next to useless and almost certainly undesirable for a warrior/monk/rogue/berserker.

Honestly, I disagree on the feedbacking of that. Warriors, Rogues, Berserkers, Monks may not use FT or Mana, however there is regen on the items also. Albeit not much, bare in mind that I have seen all four of those classes wearing gear that had Mana on them in the past. How far does cultural need to be broken down? By race/class/diety combos now?

Cultural is the armor of a culture, not a class. Overall, it suits the needs for all of them, some classes better than others, but atleast it does it's job. As for the symbols not being desirable... I find that hard to believe because the given bp only has 40hps on it... the aug adds 105hps. I wonder why any of the above classes wouldn't get it.

Overall, yes, there is very little variation to the symbols as a whole, but for the most part there are very few gods that only have pure melee followers. Then again, a nice add in would have been atk over regen, but that's in a perfect world.

Get a GM head piece, one GM augment, and 2 Radiant Tourmalines. +6 mana regen in one slot is nothing to ignore in my opinion.
I was told by a friend that you cannot have two of the exact same aug in an item. Did anyone actually try inserting 2 Radiant Cut Tourmalines into a Head piece?

If the above does not work, then it'll have to be 1 Radiant Cut Tourmaline + 1 Radiant Tourmaline of XXX.

I didn't try tourmalines, but I did try sticking two Radiant Kyanite of Pure Battle (45hp +30 attack each) into a single cultural item. Somehow, I was able to get them both in. As soon as I zoned, though, I found the gloves and the three augments all on my cursor. The game wouldn't let me put both Kyanites back in. I had to shuffle off one of the attack augs to another slot.

Why not use 1 Radiant Tourmaline of Pure XXX + 1 Radiant Tourmaline of Pure YYY. Any combination of Mark and Inlay give you 2 Tourmalines which are different.

I'm a little bemused by the original post, I must admit.

I am a casual player (maybe 15 hours a week), so most of my gear comes from the bazaar. I was recently looking for an upgrade for my barbarian warrior's leg slot, and found some Iron Greaves of the Aggressor for sale for 45k - AC52, a nice upgrade from my Kylong Shinguards with only AC35.

So, I thought I would do a quick magelo search to see what other options are available.

The Iron Greaves have the second best AC of any tradable legs.. but the best are the Grandmaster's Snowborn... with 81! Thats over 50% more than the next best.

I really don't see how that is disappointing, at least for us non-raiders anyway. The Farwater you mention has only AC43.

Am I missing something? Do Metallic Drake Scales only drop off raid mobs?

MDS only drop of high lvl mobs from DoN Missions (not sure if the normal zone mobs also drop them). I think it is really nice armour and even has our guild tank desperately getting smithing up to make himself the GM BP... who once laughed at people doing TS in general...

Thanks for the info. You saved me from the risk of being stuck with 2 Radiant Cut Tourmalines on a non Sha/Rog char.

Of course this works So does 1 Radiant Cut + 1 Brilliant Cut. It just happens that my char is already wearing one Radiant Cut Tourmaline, so I was just considering my alternatives for the second slot.

Why not have the smithed augs balanced for melees with more STR, STA and HP and a regen effect and the tailored augs balanced for casters with more INT, WIS and Mana and the mana regen effect.

Hybrids can still mix and match to get what they want and everybody is happy (except the dev who has to input the data).

So my Cleric Smith would have to buy Augs from Tailors for her own armour?
