  • Forageing(not don)

has anyone noticed a change in forageing "useful" tradeskill items i.e dye, cooking etc... I ask this becasue i seem to be picking up the usefull forages at a better rate than before

example i was in JP killing balisks for 20 mins for eggs walked out with 6 plant shoots,
steamfont about an hour killing by the caves for brownies parts had 13 waters,
in the week since DoN came out in running to from lavastorm i now have over 50 ashweeds usually pick up at least 2 in my run across zone,
in 4 off and on trips to kedge for my expert book I got 7 prawns just running to zone where before (when i was actuallt skilling up on them) i foraged 1 prawn in 3 hours
going to really test this tommorw with WL and yew leaves to see if im just loseing my mind or maybe they made your foraging lvl count for more than just sucess rate

Mind you my DoN forages have been everything with nothing being more dominate than others, just curious to see what others experiences are

Played my 57 Ranger, max forage, last night for first time in a long while helping a friend on a shaman quest in FOB. Got lots of clovers and barleys. More than usual on clovers for sure, but I suspect it is just the RNG. I still got plenty of roots and water.

My druid seems to be picking up a lot more vegetables, overall. Ironic now that they can be made

carrot, lettuce, turnip in a mixing bowl.

I was foraging shoots in JP last week, seemed about the usual rate.

Foraging is random and there is no item in a foraging table that is marked as "special", all a foraging table is, is a list of items with a corresponding percentage chance of foraging that item. So, for the last time, there is no "special' items, you are just at the mercy of a random number generator.

yes, all available from Klen Ironstove in eastern trader bldg in pok.

That sounds like semantics. Sure they may not be flagged as "special" or "rare" but if their percent chance of being foraged is very low, its the same thing, is it not? If people are noticing getting lots more of "low percentage yield" items, it could indicate a change in rates, or a shift in the table where their percent to appear would be increased.

Well that makes getting baking to GM a heck of a lot easier now.

I've been doing most of my foraginging the Broodlands lately; there are so many forages there that I don't seem to get any one thing more than another. It would be nice to see PLant Shoots stacking up quicker, since I'm planning to do a tailoring push soon.
