Froglok Needle.. I've given up

to make any cultural needle (that I've seen) you use a standard embroidering needle, and >>cultural<< essence, and combine in a forge.

Well... the guktan essence combine isn't working.. in any forge i've attempted it in (guktan, PoK, guild hall, kaladim).

this is what I've tried so far.

Embroidering needle + Essence = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + Water flask = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + Froglok hammer = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + Water + Froglok hammer = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + mourning dew = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + Rain water = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + smithing hammer = DNC
Embroidering needle + Essence + Smithing hammer + Water = DNC

etc etc etc. I spent over 4 hours trying anything i could think of today. and just for kicks, i tried calibus essence + Needle = iksar needle.
So i repeated with every other race.. and all combined.. n/p..
tried using other culture needles for froggy tailoring recipies = DNC

got my patterns.. got my sewing kit.. got items for levels 1-3 (only level 65) but cannot combine a single tailoring recipie.. petitioned, and no answer yet.

If my frog had hair, it's be laying on the ground near the guktan forge.

any ideas?

In the Submissions forum for DoN there was a listing of all Beta vendors, and based on that list it doesn't look like Gukta Essence was available (the list includes a large list of essences used in making the needles). Maybe try the Marr Essence (Bag of Sea Salt/Flask of Water) to see if that works.

Chances are you have the right recipe, you simply need to confirm that you are using your Cultural Forge. That is a headache (was for me at least) given that those forges are not necessarily marked in any fashion to distinguish them from normal forges.

Recommend you re-attempt your Embr. Needle and Guktan/Froglok Essence in every forge in your hometown.

(and if you feeling adventurous, try an Innothule Essence as a substitiute)

Needles don't need to be made in the cultural forge. My high elf was able to make one in PoK for my iksar to use.
