A quick question on the DoN cultural armor overview on the main EQ Traders site:

Grandmaster: You need to be doing a DoN mission in order to get the drops you need for the grandmaster quest. The same mobs outside of a mission will count towards your kill count but will not drop the items. Kill 120 of a type of creature and get at least 80 of a certain drop from that creature. The second part of these quests is still unknown.
Are the missions to hunt for Grandmaster Symbol Book quest drops solo missions? If they are group missions, does your group have to make sure your character gets the credit for killing the quest mobs?

Nope. One kill gives credit to all that needs it.

          Upgrading Augs

Just curious if any has figured how how to upgrade the augs yet, even when equipted the augs still says it can be used in tradeskills. Currently making the Iksar Cultural armor, up to Master in the quest and hope to be done with the GM part of quest within a few days and will make Armor for my SK. Would be nice to know how the augs can be upgraded yet, to be type 12 or just improve stats on the type 11. I would imagine the drop would be a nice rare drop, but read the 5 books from PoK on this armor and see nothing that stats this and only type 12 aug per say so far i seen is OoW tradeable augs. Any insight and info on this matter will really be helpful..

I believe that this is "for future use" by the dev's. I.E. they left the flag on so that they would not have to come back and change the flags when they add something in the future.

I already asked this question and got an answer from Maddoc. It's a mistake rather than a place holder.

                  GM Level restriction?

Gang, I am confused. My Barbarian Warrior is only level 66 but was given the task to receive the GM cultural patterns book (Go kill 120 blah blahs in the DoN zones, loot 40 goblin skins). But the original post says you have to be level 70 to obtain the quest.

Did they change the level restriction and no one has posted?

It's been posted... the change happened about three weeks ago that changed the minimum level requirement to do the quest in line with the minimum level to equip the armor.

The grandmaster Symbol (the silk armor still uses the silk) uses a hide, not silk... (I think it is Glossy Drake Hide, but would need to look up the recipes to be sure...) the guide is a bit misleading there (the guide not the site)
