  • Gnomish cultural silk tailoring???

I am completely and utterly lost.

I found the quest-giver on top of the king's building in Ak'anon, collected the four items and turned them in. I bought the other stuff and made the bag of patterns (pattern for gnomish xxx).

But now what the #@$% do I do with them?

I tired to make a racial sewing kit using Absor's recipe. I put a small brick of Yttrium ore, needle mold, thimble mold, and a flask of water in the two forges in Ak'anon. One of them used to be our cultural forge, but now they both appear to be just regular forges. Anyway, DNC on both of them.

But in the in-game books, it sounds like gnomes can use a toolkit, but I don't know at which point this may come in.

I still don't understand where the cultural needles are coming from. I checked several vendors in Ak'anon but didn't find any.

The tailor in Ak sells "Small spool of Foritifed Bronze Thread." At what point do these come in?

It sounds like I need to combine a silk swatch, Small spool of Foritifed Bronze Thread, and a Gnomish needle, in a toolbox. But I have no clue where to get the needle to try this.

Ok, finally figured out what you all are talking about. I think.

I found my Clockwork Needle that I used to make LoY cultural robes (Astral, Breath, etc).

But, still no luck. I tired the Clockwork Needle, Silk Swatch, and Small Spool of Foritifed Bronze Thread (from Ak'anon's tailor), in a deluxe toolbox, but DNC. I also tried the needle, swatch, and Small brick of Yttruim in the toolbox, but DNC.

If we aren't supposed to use a toolbox, where do we make our sewing kits?

I saw somewhere else how you combine your old needle and the essence of whatever the gnomes is to make a new needle. Might wanna try that.

The Clockwork Needle is made by combining an embroidery needle with clockwork essence. I wouldn't think you'd have to combine it again.

But I may try it when I have time. I got nothing else to go on right now.

The Yttrium ore is not for making the sewing kit judgeing by the other ecipes for Gnomes. I believe you will need to combine; Needle Mold, Thimble Mold, Flask of Water, and Small Brick of Foritifed Bronze.

Try that and see if you can get a sewing kit out of it.

Ahh, ok. That makes sense. I didn't look at the new smithy items so I didn't notice any new ore on him. I've been concentrating on tailoring, but I guess we still need smithing.

I'll check that out and post my findings (but probably not till the weekend).

            Thanks,
