    Hi ho, folks. I've started my quest for 2100, and I'm going to be keeping a running account of how it's going. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, I'm always willing to listen.

    So, let's kick this off. I got back home about two hours after DoN launched, and the first thing I did was to put up an AFK message: "If it's not tradeskill related, please ask me tomorrow."

    So, first big discovery. Skill mods now take you over 252.

    Second discovery: I need a LOT more supplies. =)

    Third discovery: I was able to confirm that more than one tradeskill can go over 250. As of now, both smithing and baking are at 251.

    I'm going to do baking first, since I have stacks of hero parts and some other PoP baking on hold. Once that's done, I'll prolly do some misty picnics until I get bored, then move on to tailoring.

    Hum... I'm starting to feel the bag crunch -- I just have too many bags for all the portable containers. =) I'm working on baking now, and I need to carry both a mixing bowl and a spit at once -- either that, or I take up an oven. Oh, well. At least I have enough supplies for a few hundred attempts at Hero Sandwiches.

      OK, ten stacks of hero parts (and associated subcombines) later, I'm running low on veggies. I don't feel like making more now, so I'm gonna switch to tailoring for now, and try to use up some supplies.

        good idea, im also doing the same.

        counting how many combines per skill point, and also if it was a fail or succeed. will look like what i have now

        s.s.s.s.s.f.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.s.f.s.s.f.s.s.s.s.s.s 251!

        s= made it
        f= failed

        I have salvage 3 and im debaiting if i want to add if i was able to salvage on the fails or not, thats a lot of paper work..

        btw, JC is looking to be about 20-30 combines per point atm, ill add more later

            My discovery? The bazaar is messed up.

            For sure you can have over 3 skills above 250, looking like all can be over 250.

            I also discovered that those seven stacks of diamonds that I sold to an NPC merchant a week ago was a mistake. As was selling off 100 cobalt cod & 100 arctic wyvern in the bazaar when I hit 1750.

              Um. Yes. What Rewde said. /blush {fixed it for you *hugs* ~Maev}

              Anywho. As to tracking individual success/fail results, I made a conscious decision WAY back in the day not to track that fine a level of detail, both for logistical simplicity and because frankly, I don't want to know how badly I suck! =) However, I do track skillups per run, or at least, I plan to do so.

              After two hours of playing pin the tail on the mule (also known as the inventory shuffle between ten mules on two accounts), I finally got a run of tailoring stuff going. I parked myself at the guild tribute master (my personal tribute is already close to maxed) and churned out about 100 combines of black pantherskin gorgets. That got me to 258. Salvage fired a couple of times, and I think I ended with enough stuff for an extra combine or two. Frankly, though, it's galling when you save the 5sp pattern, but hey, it's also refreshing to salvage a tannin or a velium boning. =)

                Mostly out of boredom and because I had spare supplies, I made a run of Mistletoe sickles. I forgot how much bag space those things need. Anywho, 20 combines later, I got another skillup. =)

                  Well, I decided to make myself some Gem Studded Chains for use in tailoring. I failed a few, but I ended up with 12 out of 20, and got myself a JC skillup to boot. A few tailoring combines later, I end up with eight robes and no skillups. I'll work on it some more tomorrow.

                  A friend did confirm that alchemy is now no longer capped at 200; she raised her skill to 202. The upper cap on alchemy is not yet known.

                  Edit: Maddoc confirmed in the other thread that the cap on Alchemy is now 300, along with the other tradeskills. Also, I'm done for the day. More tradeskilling tomorrow as time permits. =)

                    OK, so. Updates for today.

                    Most of the day was spent shuffling stuff around from mule to mule and prepping components for skillup work (I'm starting to remember how much I HATE Blessed Dust of Tunare). Still, I managed to get in a few combines, and I got a skillup each in Tailoring and Smithing.

                    The one outstanding gem between yesterday and today has to be, without a doubt, the barter zone. I set up a few buy lines yesterday at reasonable prices -- lower than what I see listed in the bazaar, but still fair prices. I check today and find my trader literally overflowing with tradeskill goodies -- I even had an item hovering on my cursor! I'm not sure if this is a bug, but logic dictates that you should stop buying if you run out of room ...

                    At any rate, I've gotten stacks and stacks of celestial essence, imbued emeralds, Blessed Dust of Tunare, assorted bricks and blocks of velium, and lots more stuff I can't remember. I LOVE this. =)

                      I was able to slip in 40 tailoring combines, and I managed to get a bunch of skill ups! Woot!

                      I also have about five or six bags of dust of Tunare. I'm not liking solstice robes as a skillup path for tailoring; it's looking like I may be able to get away with Velious for that. I guess I'll burn them all on mistletoe sickles. But I think I'll double check what cultural options I have first, before blowing all that cash. I'm just tributing the sickles I make.

                        Today has been an interesting day. After all the prep work yesterday, I thought I'd be able to blast straight in and get to the money combines. Well, that was partially true. What I'd forgotten yesterday was that I had supplies spread around across twelve mules and traders on two accounts. As you can imagine, it was a royal mess.

                        Nevertheless, I did get some good runs in. I now have enough Hero Sandwiches to feed the whole server, I think, and I tributed more sickles in one day than I used to make in a whole month when skilling up before.

                        And, of course, I got some happy skillups. =)

                        You'll notice that I haven't been messing much with brewing, fletching, or pottery. I've decided to set those aside for later. JC and pottery are trivial enough, and it seems there are issues with fletching skillup paths. I'll have time to deal with them in the future.

                          I hate to sound silly...

                          But I know I will, so the heck with it.

                          I assume to get more then one skill past 250, you have to spend the AA's to get past 200 first ? I assume so, but wanted to make sure that they did not remove the need.

                            that's correct Dass. You can get one over 200 to 300. Then ye need to spend the AAs in NTCM to get the remaining 6 over 200.

                              I was able to get some old cultural combines done, and I was quite happy to be able to do them in Qeynos rather than Freeport! =) Six skillups over 100 combines made Kyros a happy camper. I also got in some leftover sickle combine, good for one more skillup.

                              I think tomorrow I'll finish off my baking supplies and maybe start on my JC.
