  • New max for Alchemy?

If most of the trade caps increase from 250 (or 252) to 300, what does Alchemy increase to?

With aug trivials over 270, I wouldnt mind having 300 alchemy, but it seems more likely it may get a 50pt bump to 250, but I haven't seen any mention yet of new max for Alchemy (or any other trades that were formerly capped at 200 w/o mod).

    Thanks.

Unless they change the formula for determining cap on Alchemy, the new max will be 230 (at level 70), giving you a max of 241 with trophy, 253 with whatever that 10% alchemy thing is.

275 (288 with trophy) for research.

Post on the shaman's crucible of someone already breaking 251 alchemy. It looks like it's gone up by quite a bit then. Might also be interesting to see where things stand as far as the level cap goes.

Before spending a buch more plat o alchemy skill ups, is there any way to confirm if alchemy skill ups are unintended? Last time we thought it was fixed, I spent a bunch of plat to skill up to 205 (what the camp at 65 should have been), only to find out later that it was unintended and get doinked back to 200 w/o any kind of refund or nuthin'.

There were actually a few random goodies for you guys in the update last night.
          • Alchemy, Poison Making, Research, and Tinkering are no longer level capped (if the ever were), though you will still need to be the appropriate level to "learn" the skill.

          • General - All tradeskills are now able to progress to 300.
          • General - You are no longer able to train any tradeskill beyond the basic steps at any guildmaster. Ok, so this isn't so much a goody, but... It lets me treat these skills as actual skills from here on out, even letting you guys make some decent stat items.

The information above may not be 100% accurate, so be nice to me The expansion launch has exhausted me and it's late at night... I do know, however, that I made lots of changes to skills and skill caps for the tradeskills.

If we had already done the work to skill up from 200 to 205 in alchemy back last summer when the cap was set by level rather than artificially to 200, should we petition to get those five points returned (they were taken away from us several months ago) or is there going to be an automatic correction, or are we SoL (not to be confused with Luclin)?

I don't know if CS has records of those skill-sets or not.

You can always try, worst thing they do is tell you there's nothing they can do. You're probably going to have those 5 points and more soon enough though, so I'm not sure how much I'd worry about it.

                    New fishing cap too?

I don't see Fishing specifically addressed as a skill that one can take to 300, can it be?

Doh this means my wizard will not be able to train research from 180 to 185 as he'd intended when he gets his next level.

Bummer. Time to start buying spell components I guess.

Now that alchemy and poisonmaking have the same level caps will the trivials for augment combines be adjusted or will shaman be left with a significant advantage having trivials c.100 points lower than rogues?

Just checked my recipe list and I now have the following:

                          Boneflow of minor sundering: 327
                          Boneflow of sundering: 296

Ho-hum, lots more cash to spend before I get back to where I was yesterday, grmph.

Well, yes, you can't train with your guildmaster, but you also don't have to stop combining for skillups after 5 points, because the level cap was removed. There are recipes for skilling up, although at the moment the highest trivial spell is only 227.

/poke Maddoc (sorry to wake you up, but if we want to reach 300 in Spell Research, we are gonna need new recipes.....PoP and GoD spells researchable, please! )
