  • Trivial past 200 and titles

I am currently 237 without my grandmaster baking spoon. I am 247 with it. My understanding is that without AA how is that possible? Did they up that requirement? And if they did how high can I go before I have to put AA into the skill? How far can we now go with AA?

Misty Thicket Picnics are 335 trivial. If that is not obtainable, then why is it at 335?

    Also, titles?

I see people at 200 claiming they are masters. I laugh, they are journeymen. What are the trivial levels for each title and what are the titles? I saw expert the other day on the game. Is there a level before that?/

Thanks. I hope someone can answer me because it is obviously a question no one has asked for I can't find it anywhere.

Ok, first off - you can go to 250 on any one tradeskill without any AA spent. But you can only do one of the major tradeskills before you have to start spending AA to break 200. So, since you are above 200 in baking now, that is your one above 200. You cannot raise another over 200 without spending AA. However, you can take baking to 250. Poison making and tinkering do not count towards your one.

Misty Picnics and other things have trivials much above what you can do because the intent is that is something that you should not succeed on often. If something has a 335 trivial, the developers want you to be failing on it.

The titles of master / grandmaster is actually an old tradition dating back much further then the titles that we have now. Traditionally, anyone over 100 is a master. Then things get a bit fuzzy with some people saying 200 is a grandmaster and some people saying that you have to be 250 to be a GM. However, this is just more of an informal, honorary title since it wasn't something that was actually displayed as a title and before the new title system you couldn't prove your skill anyway. The only time it really matters now is when you see somebody advertising for a 'grandmaster potter' and you have to ask them how they are defining grandmaster. Heck, with the new system, I've even seen people defining grandmaster as 250 + all possible mastery AAs so it really is a fuzzy term now.

With the new title system we do have Apprentice at 100, Journeyman at 200 and Expert at 250. These are formal titles you can display and has actual skill requirments.

And yes, these are all questions that have been asked before
