  • Do we need a new "club"?

We have the 1750 club, but what about all those new "mastery" AAs? Any of you 1750 clubbers going for the "1750 Master Club"?

At 18 AA to max one mastery (3/6/9), times 6 skills (not including JC), that's 108 more AA.

    Who's up for it?

Of course, we'll also have to have some sort of addendum for Salvage3 (another 15 AA).

I have completed Jewel Craft Mastery 3, Smithing Mastery 3, Tailoring Mastery 3 and Salvage 3. However, at this point in time, when I am not doing any real trade skilling in pottery, brewing, baking or fetching its just difficult to convince myself that I want to complete masteries in them as well. Why do it? except for being able to say you did? There really are no business reasons for it, making elemental bows might of been a reason a year ago, but the bottom has fallen out of that market and it would seem to me at least that there are no plans to make anything high end in the fletching skill again. I might be tempted IF they would add some really good multiple tradeskilled items or quests. But for some reason Sony wants to give us abilities to soak up our AAs and playing times, but they do not want to give us the items to actually DO much trade skilling at high levels OR they want to give them to us but at the same time put other common items in the game which are much better and more desired. LOL..guess this turned into a minor flame didn't it? oops...

What tradeskill would we use to craft clubs anyway? It's tailoring for whips and smithing for swords, but clubs?

I would boycott any 1750 "Mastery" club until they removed the Jewelcraft Mastery Enchanter-only restriction.

It is not only illogical for it to be enchanter-only, it is also a slap in the face to all the rest of us who worked very hard to raise our skills and then be forbidden to "master" them, while some others are arbitrarily allowed.

Am I bitter about this? Yep! Very bitter, actually

I would boycott an 1750 mastery club if they didn't enforce a jewelcraft enchanter-only restriction.

              Keep it poilite people.

Bitterness over a silly thing in the game really doesn't belong here in this forum.

                Interesting idea ............. but...........

The issue I'd have with a 1750 mastery club is that mastery really has very little to do with tradeskills only to do with who can grind as many AA's and is prepared to use them on tradeskills.

Yes, I recognise that in order to get into the 1750 club in the first place you have to grind 18 AA's to unlock the other tradeskills but once that is done the acheivement of 1750 is about the effort you put into tradeskills.

Mastery has no tradeskill requirement. It is perfectly possible to have mastery in all tradeskills without ever even achieving point 1 in any skill. While I agree that a 1750 mastery player is probably a better bet when requesting a combine it really has little relevance to your dedication to tradeskills.

So while I think its an interesting idea a 1750 mastery club has no major esteem over those already in the 1750 club. In fact I hold more kudos for those who achieve 1750 without any mastery than for those who do as it almost definately cost them more hardship in failed combines and wasted plat.

Without sounding TOO sarcastic, just where does it belong? The whole messageboard and website is about a game. The good sides and the bad.

Bitterness goes in the Primal Screams forum of these boards, not the general forum.
