Looks like they went and grabbed features from Diablo II. I hope it's at least as good as OOW content wise. Othewise it marks yet another unwanted expansion.

      Hello-

Not too familiar with Diablo II - but some of the feature seemed really gopod - while others seemed kinda iffy to me.

I guess I liked the idea of an overhaul of the Guild tools - there is so much more that could be done with that.

Once side comment also - it seemed that there would be a Penalty if certain new content was reached TOO soon. Might be interesting to find out what they mean by that.

Where did you get this? It's no where on the official DoN webpage(s). If this was posted on EQlive by a Dev, please provide a link.

NVM, found it, in the "Overview"

Prepare for EverQuest: Dragons of Norrath and return to the lands between Halas and Lavastorm as you seek out the Nest, the ancestral birthplace of all dragons, long sealed away and hidden from the eyes of Norrath. But beware, if the Nest is exposed too early during the Brood Dawn, all dragons and their eggs will be cursed for eternity and death will storm down on all Norrathian's not in their service.
Oh joy, just as when Sleeper's Tomb was first released, and changed when folks killed all 4 warders....

It also mentioned that buff timers do not decrease while in the guild hall, and since the tradeskill containers are in the guild hall I assume this means C6 for an indefinite amount of time while tradeskilling.

Its also good to know that if I accidently poison my whole guild instead of baking for them, that they can all be ressed in bulk. Means I can be a bit more free & easy with the rules in the kitchen, and can finally put the rat poison back in the refrigerator where it belongs.

If they can make a bandoler to store weapons and a belt for potions and food, why the hell can't they create something to stored trade skill tools, needles, hammers, sculpting tools, wok, frying pan and so on.

Also when are they going to give us more bank space for all the quest stuff each expansion keeps adding on. Maybe a stand alone bank(bazaar or POK) for no drop items only.

              From http://everquest.station.sony.com/dr...h/features.jsp
Guild Tradeskill Objects - Various tradeskill tools are located in the guild hall for easy access by guild members.
To me, that sounds like it will store all the tradeskill tools so each guildmember will have access to them. At least I hope that's what it means.

It sounds like they mean you can put stationary containers like stills and looms and such in the guild hall.

A guild management tool (a real one), has been an area with a ton of poetentual for so long.

Guilds could deffinately use guild banks, spell banks, research banks, even tradeskill banks... all of them tied to members, with varying amounts of access by anyone the guild deems needs... the ability to move objects to people from them, or to have peopel put bjects into.

Tracking for members, alt/main lists for sorting... online times, raid times, dkp (with many options on that, probably a freeform system, because no one system works for all guilds).

A way to designate loot as guild loot (from raids), so guild farmers can't raid guilds for resources.. This would also maybe enable no-drop (raid) loot a second life on a second player (time constraints varying)... overall a way to empower guilds to help their members.

Expansions are nice because of new content, but they suck because it's the way Sony forces people to pay for content they won't use, only to be able to access material that should be gamewide.

There will be a guild bank that will be accessable to people that are ok'ed by guild officers. I assume this will allow us to put our tools up for others to use. Just gotta hope people remember to put them back when they finish using them.

Would be cool we could put a taanan smithing hammer or needle in that bank.
Also quest swatches, chains and sheets!!

I carry that stuff around now just so I can go to bed after the raid.

I don't want to store MY tradeskill tools in a guild shared bank space, I want something like a key ring so that I don't have to always have them on my person when I try to do a combine. Things in shared space tend to disappear over time.

I'm not in the beta, so I don't know in reality how this would work. But my guess is that this will be like saved spell lists: a hotbutton you can click to swap weapons around with one click, rather than a new storage space for weapons. That's just a guess, though.

The "BUY THIS EXPANSION" nag screen lists new recipes and tradeskills as features. I wonder if that's an error.
