  • Fuel for the fire

70 beastie of Morell, with low tradeskills atm, but looking to increase them.

    250 brewing, 250 baking, 238 smithing, 200 fletching, 200 pottery, 200 jewelcraft, 168 tailoring

Smithing is gonna take me another.... 60k to GM fully(am GM now with 10% belt but...)

Jewelcraft I heard isnt horrible but Im guessing 40k from 200-250 on it.

Pottery looks not horrible, but still the vials look somewhat expensive for unfired idols(which I assume is the way to go).

Fletching I know is a bit of a money dump like JC, but if you resale its not bad.

    Tailoring Im just dreading...

and glad to be part of the forum
    Any initiation I gotta pass?

*edit* hmm... lets try to turn this into a better topic then.
Anyway I can use my tradeskills to make me money as everyone says you can.. but I have yet to find any way at all to make money with them besides making MTPs and selling them for small profits. Smithing so far has given me no return for being a GM.

and if it still needs to be closed, I'll try to make a better topic next time.

Gotta learn to use the the search function This question gets asked about once a week and there are some really good posts out there. I searched for 'make plat' and got 3 pages. Granted, there is some stuff there thats not what you are asking but there is a lot of good stuff too

      Correction, 40K is for 0 to 250.

I'll give the answer I probably did on one of the threads listed

I made - and continue to make - plat selling items for Solstice earring. In particular BFR, SRES, GIoT and MCS I still keep in stock even though I'm GM in Pottery, Smith and Fishing. This funds my tailoring jones. Depends on your server. Amazingly, even the big exodus to EQII didn't effect this. Prices have gone up on the Pottery items, if anything.

Lol, try again. Find an enchanter and an imbuer for this one. Gems are going to cost you and if you don't have someone to do free enchants and imbues the cost goes up and up and up... Seriously, Smithing was easier imo than Pottery.

I got my tailoring up to 230 much more easily than I thought. But then again, I can do cultural "LoY" tailoring which has been a huge blessing.

Farming cauldron prawn was the most annoying part. I got lucky and found someone selling stacks of swatches. Farming the steamfont spring water hasn't been as bad.

I wonder if they plan on filling any tradeskill gaps with this new expansion.

That would be nice. Something for tailoring set to the difficulty/annoyance level of say Shadowscream Steel would help me out a ton.
