Sadly, when this was filmed, they told me a) it'd air in January, and b) that they'd be SURE to let me know when it was going to air.

I didn't find out about it until after the fact.

Not a happy redhead.

Then again, considering how poorly cameras and I get along, probably just as well that I didn't see how badly I did. My family is extremely disappointed, though. (((

Someone must have recorded it somewhere... if nothing else, you could ask CNN if they would give you a copy, especially since they promised to let you know beforehand - not likely, but you can try

Even if I did manage to get hold of a recording, it'd not be the same thing, in the eyes of my family, as them getting to see it as it aired. At least my niece's future hubby saw it, but by the time he could get a break at w*rk and call her (he's across the country on an externship), it was too late for anyone else to see it.

I've not had the heart to call my dad yet (he REALLY doesn't understand this "computer gaming thing", but is proud of me nonetheless and had been really looking forward to seeing it), though I suspect my eldest sister already did when she wasn't able to reach me by phone.

I dont watch TV at all, my tv is just a screen for my PS2, tho i think id plug the darn thing in just to watch denmom talkin about EQ. ;D

Familial peace will be restored. Apparently that "New at CNN" segment on computer gaming is re-airing later tonight, and tomorrow afternoon as well, so Dad can see it. Managed to reach him before he went to sleep tonight, so he's happy once again.

I just checked CNN's website for the program schedule. It looks like the program Next@CNN is on today at 5pm EST and 2 AM EST.

So, set your TiVo and watch Denmom today!

But they are also re-re-broadcasting it at 2am EST / 11pm PST in case there are people who miss the second broadcast.

It's just a few short blurbs at the very end of the hour-long segment (as expected, a lot ended up on the cutting room floor ) that were taken a couple months ago (during EQ beta) with one of my baby beta characters in a couple shots. Originally, we were going to use EQ, not EQII as the backdrop for the interview, but the machine they stuck me in front of had a corrupted EQ install and they were on a time-limit, so we trundled over to beta.

It's nothing really major, truly - but it meant a lot to my Dad, so ...

Oh yeah - Segment is titled 'Next at CNN' if you want to rummage through your cable programming for it... at least, thats what it shows up as for Cox cableboxes. =)

Oddly enough, if you look it up on CNN, their link goes to the EQ2 home page - no way to view online or even their talk about the story.
