  • January Summit

There is a report on the SOE Boards of a new summit come January. Do we know who from the TS community will be going? Should we put together a list of issues to be discussed there. I don't know what the format or agenda is yet.

So, lets get the list started.

Assuming the Summit isn't a hoax or a rumor, I'd say we already have a fairly extensive discussion list in the form of the Top Ten Issues and supplimentary questions.
    Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade
Master Artisan (300 + GM Trophy in all) of Luclin (Veeshan)
Master Fisherman (200) and possibly Drunk (2xx + 20%), not sober enough to tell!
Lightbringer, Redeemer, and Valiant servant of Erollisi Marr

It is not all about "Ubers", it is not all about any one group, it's about EQ. We are working to invite folks who raid and those who don't, along with one representative from each class. Those groups will talk about their perspectives on EQ and listen to what we have to say as well.
so yes, it appears to a legit thing.

          1) increase drop rate of Augment items - and/or reduce trivial on upgrading them

          2) More zones that drop tinkering supplies - with the arrival of oow trying to find groups/people to help in PoI is becoming a rarity - getting coiled springs, steel ball bearings, and pinions is a nightmare in suffiecient quantities for either a manufacturing run or a skill up run.

          3) It's on the list but get Nitram Anizok's supplies sold in a more acessible place. Moving him will break the quest/flagging event for the PoI factory key to get access to MB and even to get to time for the first time on a character. Suggestion i beleive has been to give the ogre in PoT inside the windmill Nitram's stocks as it would fit the lore of what he says about getting supplies to and from Nitram. Possibly add coiled springs, steel ball bearings and pinions to his list of supplies too.

          4) Recipe(s) for raising skill on tailoring.; The new recipes from OOW the drops are too infrequent for a skill up path here. and the recipes from GoD again drops too infrequent. Having worked most tradeskills now almost all to GM status i have found tailoring to have been the biggest *smurf*

          5) Tinkering neds more useful recipes adding. There already is a thread on this site of suggestions. Many of these ideas are doable. There have not really been any expansions recently that have added anything thats really useful to the tinkering recipe list.

          6) Find a use for the anti-gravity device made in tinkering - or drop a really big hint as to what its for. - is it broken? should it have a rechargable levitation - like anizok's devices?

          7) Increase drop rate of shreiking and wailing substances to shadeling silk proportions. Or .. change them from being no drop to give people the opportunity of farming them like swirling shadows for sale in the bazaar. Tradeskilling should be fun but this part of raising smithing really is long and tedious - keep people wanting to stay in the game, the alternative being mistletoe sickles for skilling up which takes so many sub-combines and is extremely expensive.

          8) agree - more high end multi-tradeskill quests like aid grimel

I guess these suggestions are largely tinker heavy but i feel they have had the worst deal of all trades in recent expansions with most of their materials only coming from one very underused zone, and other components coming from a merchant that is a complete *smurf* to get to. Other suggestions as there needs to be more parity between skilling up of the different trades - currently the difference in difficulty between skilling up brewing or jewelry Vs Tailoring/Smithing/Pottery/Tinkering is huge.

There are a couple of threads on the official SOE boards with ideas for recipes for the GoD components like TAelosian wheat, and such. I'd love to see some of them implemented (and since the Tarts idea was mine I want a custom title for my in-game character - Queen of Tarts ! /giggle )
