  • Vendor Mining

Does vendor mining still work? The way old vendor mining worked you could buy stuff to uncover items not found on the list buy purchasing all of one item. This would cause an invisible unknown items to then fill the spot. It seems lately that the slot just stays emtpy when purchased.

The "under the counter" vendor slots were removed quite awhile ago.

But, just because it doesn't work like it used to, doesn't mean it doesn't work. It is still possible to find plenty of good stuff right there where everyone can see it. There is a running thread on Vendor Mining successes right here on the board. Check it out. You'll be surprised what folks find.

If you have any further doubt, check out my Magelo. This is my main. All those goodies have been purchased with profits from vendor mining. As an example, I almost always have at least one stonewood compound bow up for sale on my vendor-mule, but have never been to an elemental plane.

Perhaps the term Vendor "Mining" is no longer appropriate... you're no longer searching for hidden items. I prefer the term "window shopping".

I did a search for the Vendor Mining thread and it says there is nothing. Can someone give me a hint on how to search the threads?

At the top of the page, there is a "search" button in the user bar. I clicked on it and entered "vendor minig", got 201 results.
