Its already Tuesday after Fan-Faire and still not one post about it. Was it really that bad? This board is usually buzzing with comments, good and bad within 12 hours of the START of a Fan-Faire.

Yes there's a dearth of information. It seems to be because the fan faire was mostly about EQ2. The only thing I've seen for tradeskillers is that Jewelcraft Mastery will remain enchanter only. Here's what's I've seen posted. From 'super special cyber lover' at www.townrebels.org some choice quotes:
Of course the rumors should be flying now about a few zone revamps (true), ways to single group reflag through the elementals and god (true), Brenlo eating a baby (false), lots of EQ2 stuff (mostly true and remember nov 8th!), couple of retunes for endgame current (true) and of course there is an expansion or two still left in the future (true) and as far as the existance of the master lore book... I've yet to find it, but it may exist...
tons of peeps got free copies of EQ Platinum and the AWESOME new expansion for planetside "Aftershock"
Alot of the panels were talkin about EQ2 and I remember filling out some survey with of course the controversial questions weve seen this last year.
What would make you stay in the game
Do you play with alot of real life friends
What do you think about a secure store for buying stuff in game sponsored by SOE
Stuff about the Webservices for EQ2
An in game reward for long term players
and the one I harped on... Character Customization/advancement paths
and a buch of quotes from Xalmat at Mage Compendium:
GoD AAs are being refunded next patch, which (according to Brenlo) is slated for December. Rather than refund the full AAs, you will get a refund of the difference between the old and new cost. They will be closer to Omens costs than they are now.
One of the AAs confirmed to be lowered is Secondary Forte, from 15 to 9 (I think).
The official reason they waited to refund AAs is so that you don't lose potentially hundreds of AA points after a refund when you zone. Its one thing to get refunded 5 , its another thing to get refunded a hundred or more.
Devs still feel the Greater and Glowing Muramite Runes are dropping at an acceptable pace, and there are no plans to make them droppable.
Currently there are no plans to merge EQ1 servers.
Root (including Earth pet root) will not have its proximity aggro removed.
There are still no plans to create a level 70 LDoN adventure.
There are still plans to take another look at existing AAs and revamp them.
There is a possibility of making Invisibility spells work outside a group, now that invisibility doesn't kill pets. There are still other issues associated with that, however.
Suspended Minion and Persistent Minion are not being refunded. You can stop asking for it now, because it ain't happening.
Jewelcrafting Mastery is not going to be available for all classes at this time. Jewelcrafting remains the domain and a class defining ability of Enchanters, and at this time it is staying that way.
Plane of Time, Kodtaz, Yxxta, and several other zones are being made to follow the 85% rule. (There was much rejoicing at the panel)
For many zones, the limit is getting lowered to as little as 6 people (to allow a full group of people to flag one additional person)
In addition to that, there will be specific zone backflag quests. Example: You raid Plane of Earth and it drops an item (I call it a Backflag Loot), you give it to the unflagged person. The unflagged person then finishes a one or two-group event, and he is now flagged for Plane of Earth. This will be applied to most raid zones, including Qvic and Plane of Time, as well as the Elemental zones. (You still need to gain initial access to these zones via flags, and the Backflag Loot will only drop off boss mobs).
630% (on Lucy) is definitely not the maximum proc rate.
Currently the average player population on EQ1 servers is about 2000 people nightly. It's remained steady for some time.
You will be able to cross-server tell from EQ1 to EQ2. I think the EQ2 servers are not going to have the same names as the EQ1 servers, but don't hold me on that.83/1000 High Elven Enchanter on cazic (8x300 tradeskills)

Well, I was somewhat disappointed that neither Maddoc nor Absor was at the Fan Faire this time, so there wasn't much tradeskill discussion. Here's what I was able to squeeze in at the other panels.
Travis McGearthy (Rashere) stated in no uncertain terms that he considers JCM to be an enchanter class-defining ability. There are no plans at all to open it up.
The drop rate on Trean Flies, Slugworms, Discordant Scoriae, and the gemstone augs is low, but this is intentional. I pointed out some pricing facts to the devs, showing that the augments are unreasonably expensive due to the rarity, but they maintain that the augs are so powerful, they don't want them to be more common.
Um ... that's about it for tradeskills.
On a related note, Maddoc told me that he will eventually get around to answering most of the questions in my Fan Faire thread in a post on the boards. I imagine he's been a bit distracted recently, but he'll get to them in due course.

Clarification on this please. You mean a group of 6 flagged folks could make a raid with 1 non flagged (7 total) and bring them in? OR that 5 flagged folks could bring in 1 non flagged and act as an xp group? For many zones, the limit is getting lowered to as little as 6 people (to allow a full group of people to flag one additional person)
If the former, I guess thats decent for twinking an alt with a no drop from a locked zone (like the caster gear that rots in earth). If the later I think this is great.

Here's a link to an overly enthusiastic article on CastersRealm that reads like an SOE ad. Actually, it's on EverQuest 2 Realm, but it talks a lot about what's in development for EQ (nothing for tradeskills).

See Kyros' post a bit further up, you data was one of the things on his listOriginally posted by RaienyaHmm, so it looks like I gathered all that data on how the spiderling silk drop rates have been nerfed for nothing.
.
