So it's quested armor, and does not require tradeskills even in a marginal way, not even "collect these things and then combine them in a tradeskill container with a pattern/mold I give you." It's a straight "collect these things and I will give you armor" quest

Yep, that's correct.

They did the combiner thing in PoP so you couldnt MQ elemental patterns with others (or charge people for a MQ. They didnt want quest armor being a cash cow like it was in Velious).

Now, they have new coding in where they cam make things absolutely non-MQable. You *HAVE* to hand the quest NPC ALL the items YOURSELF before you can even press the 'Give' button.
