The issue is, if we put a list down of the top items to make for tribute many of us would suspect that list would come under scrutiny and some of the items would have their tribute values nerfed.

This is why I answered with general suggestions of things to try rather than saying something like "Shadowscream Steel Mantles offer a great tribute return for the investment requred to make them" (fictitious example, I don't know the tribute on those).

The history of setting tribute values is not pretty. There have been exploits from the player side and over-reactive tribute reductions from SoE. The last thing I want to do is put up my favorite tribute recipes as targets for scrutiny. I don't think the items are exploits in any way, but I feel some of the changes made previously were either unneeded or went too far. Why take chances.

With that in mind, I wouldn't suspect to see exactly the type of information you are looking for posted here.

LDON jewelcraft, foraged polished quarts and geodes + enchanted gold = nice tribute.
If youre amazingly cheap or broke, buy GoD fished tuna and crab you see off of vendors at 1c/pound, break it down to 1 lb parts and tribute it for 1 tribute each pound. 1c=1tribute = awesome ratio!
Stonewood bows are easy. Buy immaculate steel and staves off of vendors and farm the vegerog vines with guildies.
Robe of the Tempest = 7500.
PoP JCed items are decent. So are PoP made tunics/bps.

Personally, if its not a 10:1 ratio, i dont bother. Spending 2kp to get 5k tribute is just not worth it. But thats just me.

Beware on LDoN smithing that each item may vary enormously on cost depending on the temper used, and even on the size of the item created. In some cases size alone causes a difference of 100s of points. A little careful planning (I made a spreadsheet) can help you plan the most profitable route.

I believe (Barb culteral) Helanic BPs are 12k tribute, so those are always nice when trying to skill up, and have good tribute items.

The other pieces are varied, and black-laced isn't worth donating to tribute compared to howmuch it costs to make or the time to farm.

I have been using a couple items for tribute items that don't cost too much to make. The Shaped Sedgewood Bows, and the Cheirometric Lockpicks.
The bows give 347 or so for tribs, and the lockpicks go for 1496. The cams to make the bows sell for 37p sadly, but it costs 15p roughly to tinker them.
I do a lot of Everfrost LDoN so I forage all the sedge branches myself, and once in awhile I see them for a plat or so in the bazaar, so I snag a bunch.
Also, Howling Stones drops quite a few nice things I use for tribs. And I buy a few items below 25p and turn those in, like the Bellows Crafted Cap and the torque from PoI.

Salubrious Heraldic Breastplates (Qeynos human cultural, Rodcet Nife) are worth over 22k in tribute. As far as I have been able to determine, this is the highest of all the qeynos armors. No idea why its higher than the others.

                  Easy Answer...

All the other Heraldic BPs have +15 to (stats), except the Dragonkin Heraldic which has +20 to (stats) & the Salubrious Heraldic which has +20 to (stats).

I'd imagine therefore, that the Dragonkin BP has a similarly higher tribute value.

Tae ew two hand swords trib for 3675 are cheap to make (less than 10 pp if u farm your own bloods) and only use one lizard blood. Problem is it also needs an iksar blood. I'm having trouble finding these and may give up soon. Been trying to get iksar blood from Dulak refinery, also can be had on the Windscorn, in Old Seb jail and dalnair zone.

                        Clockwork Observer Helm. 11642pts.

Cost is low unless you're squeamish about killing Sifaye. Then you can add emotional distress.

Breastplate is almost 23k. Doubtful anyone would tribute it unless it had 6 months worth of dust on it.

The cost for the wing for that is much higher (52pp vs. a few plate for giant mosquito and under 1 for small mosquito). And the wings are not stackable either.

ok, just an update on the fly-tribute:

I spent a few hours farming both Gunthak and the Burning Woods for wings. Broken Shore Mosquitos in Gunthak definately have a better drop rate, and the wings stack, but the spawn is far less frequent. XXX Hornets in Burning Woods are far more common, and I never once came close to running out of mobs to kill with constant rooting and shooting. They can drop up to 2 wings, but I can go up to 10 kills without seeing any. I figure that roughly I was gettign about 20 an hour. Mob difficulty, from hardest to easiest was as follows:

                                Scoraie Hornet
                                Ember Hornet
                                Cinder Hornet
                                Ash Hornet

Anyway, after a few hours work I managed to get about 20,000 guild tribute and 20,000 personal tribute. I also have about half of the 50 flys I need to trade to a guildy for a Stonewood Compound Bow that he just happened to offer for sale before he was going to tribute it 40,000 tribute and potentially around 20,000pp (after the bow sells in trader) isn't too bad for the cost of a tacklebox and a few hours work!
