I'm quite happy to finally be Expert Artisan Bolas. I don't expect I'll ever change that title unless I happen to be the very first shadowknight ever to solve epic 2.0.

I've noticed that too, seems that from time to time, titles won't stick, and you've got to go back in and "reboot" them. /shrug
Is it your epic title? The epic title is only available when the game notices that you have your epic in your inventory. Since Kunark had no 'hidden flags' you have to have the epic on your person or in your bank. When you die with it on your corpse, the epic is in neither place and thus its corresponding title is not available to you.

After you loot your corpse, you'd need to 'reboot' your title. Or, if you have an epic that you don't click reguarly, if you put it in the bank, your title will remain through deaths.

Ok, I admit it, I am struggling with the new titles. Don't get me wrong, I really really appreciate it that SOE actually listened and have created titles for tradeskill accomplishments and I don't want to seem to be ungrateful, because I truly & sincerely am... but ... Expert Artisan? why not Master Artisan? Expert just doesn't seem to fit as well to me. Maybe its because it seems to me to be to mechanical... or modern where as the other terms, apprentice and journeyman were known in medival times. Maybe its because I just always sort of expected it at the back of my mind that when they did finally get around to making these titles it would be Master Artisan or even simply Artisan. Oh well, I'm sure that others were probably thinking of other titles and that even given the choice we couldn't all agree on one 100%. I suppose I will get use to it in time.

Ok, what's the deal with the Epic 1.0 title? It was supposed to be available to anyone, right? I don't see it in my title list, all I see right now are the three AA titles and the three Artisan titles. And yet, I have my Epic 1.0 (you can check my profile, it's in the lower left bag, lower left slot), have had it for over 2.5 years now; the game even recognizes it because I can start off on my Epic 1.5 right away (without the side quests) - but I don't see the Epic 1.0 title at all. Is it Omens-only, then?

            'Master' is 100 skill.

Imagine if you were a Master Artisan - you'd be forever explaining to people that you actually had 250 in everything, not just 100.
            Tailoring - 250 (Zillia 225)
            Brewing - 250 (Zillia 250)
            Baking - 250 (Zillia 250)
            Blacksmithing - 218 (Zillia 225)
            Fishing - 200
            Fletching - 200 (Zillia 235)
            Pottery - 198 (Zillia 227)
            Jewelcraft - 195 (Zillia 250)
            Thread-killing - 250

I have my epic 1.0, but it has been in the bank for months (both pieces.) Yet, I have been using my title since OoW and it has never disappeared.

There may be a bug that is causing titles to disappear for one reason or another, but you don't have to be carrying your epic to have the title available.

That's very nice for being able to prove to friends and guildies that you are A Grand Artisan but as for wandering around with "Expert Artisan" hanging over your head that's just asking for tradeskillers tell hell.

I would *far* prefer a single "Artisan" or "Arch Artisan" title, rather than the (my opinion!) kinda lame "Apprentice/Journeyman/Expert" progression.

The "inform when new titles available" didnt work for me either, only got my new Expert Artisan title because i say some other player with it.

Thanks Sehra! That's what I was looking for... Arch Artisan ... that seems far more appropriate than Expert Artisan. Now what's it gonna take to change it?

I too find "Expert Artisan" sort of lame.

                        I would much prefer "Artisan."

I *LIKE* artisan better, but with the "expert" artisan at least people can identify you easily as someone who knows their stuff. Obviously the tradeskill-minded folk will know what they're getting no matter what you call the title, but with "expert artisan" you don't have to sit and explain anything to them.. the title is self-explainatory.

Personally, I'd have preferred "apprentice" for anyone under 100 who had under 56, journeyman to 100, master from 100-200, something along the lines of skilled master from 200-249 and grandmaster at 250. Then the titles align better with the skill levels (since we get master at 100... it seems funny that you're a master of a skill but still qualify as an apprentice...)

But at least the current method is an easy way for non-tradeskillers to get a feel for how qualified a person is on their combines.

I'd kinda like to see an "Expert Linguist" for those who have 200 in all the languages (and maybe just "Linguist" for those at 100...or different scales to match Apprentice and Journeyman if they want to be consistent). There aren't many options for lower levels, but that's one anyone could get any level, with sufficient work.

I think they only go up to 100. Still a cool idea though
