OoW Augment Drops?

It seems as though the augment drops (talking about the upgradable ones, here...specifically the ones that are gems and not "XXXXflow stone", like Apatite, Kyanite, Sodalite, etc.) are random from any OoW zone.

What I'm trying to confirm is this: I know they drop in WoS and NC. I assume they drop in the higher zones as well. Has anyone actually looted any of these in Dranik's Scar? Bloodfields? Dranik's Hollow?

Just trying to find out if slaughtering greens would be the easiest way to find them. I really don't want to pay 100K for an uncut version, but I really want to put a couple of these augments in some items.

looted a umm forget the name but it was a spell shielding one from draniks hollows so atleast some drop in there. also it was a lvl 66 spawned one

The augments can drop in any OOW zone (yes, even off of yard trash in Draniks Scar) but you get higher drop rates and the more valuable augments in higher level OOW zones.

Last night, I looted a Fireflow Stone off of a random bat or rat in one of the caves where the instanced zones are.

So, are you saying that in DS only certain augments will drop? For instance, say I am looking for a Tourmaline. Can it drop from yard trash in DS? Or is it WoS+?

About 10 days ago, my group had a Howlite drop in the high level Murkglider's instance of Dranik's Hollow. They gave it to me.

Just a reminder to folks that it'll really help see if there's a pattern to the drops if you make sure you're submitting the mob name and zone name in the proper forum to get it into the database.

Honestly, i dont think theres a pattern. Theres a number of generic rare items that have been found in many, if not all OOW zones. Augments are one of them.

There are other zones like this, where any yard trash has a rare drop of a nice item. However in those zones, the chance of those rare items dropping is higher on higher level mobs.

Im going out on a probably pretty sturdy limb here and im gonna guess OOW is the same way.
