The secrets are free here. No need for guides. But you have to realize that we don't do exploits or teach you how to set up unattended macros. That's cheating and we don't cheat other players.
Let's take brewing as an example of what you want to master to 250 quickly. By going to the recipe page, looking at brewing recipes and looking at the quick trivial list, I can see that fetid essence will take you to 122. The ingrediants for that are 1xFishing Grub and 1xWater Flask in a brew barrel. Pretty easy. Then I see that Minotaur Hero's Brew will take you to 248. That recipes is 1x Cask, 3xMalt, 2xShort Beer, 1x Yeast, and 2x Water Flask in a brew barrel.
That is an example of an easy way to Grandmaster Brewing with store bought materials in a few hours. And it didn't cost you a penny.
Here is another freebie for you. For fast mastery of smithing, go Sheet Metal to 31, Banded Tunics to 115, Various Mistletoe cutting Sickle parts to 183, Enchanted Velium Bits to 222, Mistletoe Cutting Sickles to 250. Only thing needed not store bought is the imbueing of Emeralds for the Sickle parts.
Expensive, but the fastest path in my opinion.

I've seen a few of the guides out there that purport to give away all sorts of secrets to doing something in EQ fast and cheap. Every one of them was a blatant copy and paste rip-off job of what is totally free on any of several free sites, including this one.
You'd be better off tossing your money into wishing wells. At least that usually eventually goes to charities, rather than scam artists.

Do I read you right? You've included Enchanted Velium Bits in your list of ways to skill up, but I've never seen any form of velium for sale on NPC merchants (unless players have sold it to them.) On my server there's generally a decent supply in the bazaar, but those are player traders and prices fluctuate.Originally posted by Frerin the SmithFor fast mastery of smithing, go Sheet Metal to 31, Banded Tunics to 115, Various Mistletoe cutting Sickle parts to 183, Enchanted Velium Bits to 222, Mistletoe Cutting Sickles to 250. Do you know some super secret place to buy unlimited velium?

Awww, now I'm disappointed. Got all happy there for a second, thinking perhaps my farming days (for velium, not the 47-quadrillion other ingredients my ts addiction demands) were over. Thanks for clearing it up.Originally posted by Frerin the SmithD'oh! My mistake! No vendor sells velium.

A little over half of the trade skills can't be Grand Mastered in 3 days unless you have tons and tons of plat and a huge supply of dropped components in the bazaar.
Brewing is the cheapest exception, you can GM that all the way to 248 purely on vendor sold items while the last 2 points are easy to get from sitting in Kaladim for a couple hours. Fletching and Jewel Craft can be GM'd off vendor sold items as well, but it's very expensive to do so.
Smithing, Tailoring, Baking, and Pottery, on the other hand, require alot more work to GM in. They require either dropped items, enchanted materials, or both and can get very expensive. They can also require alot of sub-combines (shudders at the thought of doing Mistletoe Cutting Sickles again).
At any rate, I wouldn't expect to get 250 in all 7 trades in a mere 3 days. Tailoring itself took me like over a month to GM in and that's having a ton of plat at my disposal. Funding wasn't a major issue, it was a lack of dropped materials like Flawless Rockhopper Hides, Velious Pelts, Velious Tanning Agents, and Velium/Acrylia in the bazaar after I bought everyone out. Expect alot of frustration and work if you attempt to GM all 7 trades.

I don't think these are as bad as Blessed Fishing Rods but then again you don't use BFR's to skill up on unless you have plat to burn. Or Halas Pies (omg I hate them).Originally posted by Sigrahshudders at the thought of doing Mistletoe Cutting Sickles again
