  • Item Effect: Intoxication?

It says it makes you run faster, but how much faster? There's different levels of Intoxication, too, aren't there? I, II, III, etc.

Anyone know how these compares to SoW?

    Thanks,

giggle .. they don't compare. I don't recall making anything that had Intox III, but I did make the others when LDoN first came out. Neither Intox I nor Intox II make any significant (or even noticeable) difference in run speed.

Per Lucy, Intox I is an increase of 1% at level 1 to 5% at level 8, and makes you drunk if Alcohol tolerance is not at least 80.

Intox II is an increase of 3% at level 1 to 8% at level 10, and makes you drunk if AT is not at least 100.

Do you have any of the Run Speed AAs? They do not stack with spell effects, so if you have enough to put you over the percentages you state, you wouldn't get any change.

And I can see how they'd be useful as an emergency escape hatch. Being even 5% faster than an angry critter could save your life if the zone is a long way off.

Verdandi, I tried to use the Intox effects on baby toons that aren't even high enough to earn aa yet :/ The were roughly levels 20 to 45 at the time.

And you are correct, perhaps there would be an instance or two where the minimal run speed difference would make a difference. For me, I quickly decided they weren't worth carrying around.
