Re: 2) Making quest recipes learnable
There is an ongoing list of recipes on the Sony boards.

I don't know where it would fall on the priority list, but I'd certainly send it in. We could suggest stats and stuff, but I'm sure they would tweak them here and there based on their own thoughts.

          Some additions (I hope)

Pottery, Brewing, Poison Making, and Tinkering need some invigorating new recipes and accessible components would be kind of nice. Example: besides the ceramic bola weight, pottery has not seen a new recipe from time before LoY expansion. Brewing has many fewer really useful recipes compared to its companion Baking (besides for quests how many people actually want something other than Grobb Liquidized Meat, Qeynos Afternoon Tea, and Kaladim Constitutionals).

          Player made augments and charms.

Collaborational items and quests. Example: before NTCM different tradeskillers would work together on something like the Libera Brassica quest. Now the only way to "force" a collaborative project would be based on class/race/diety restricted combine components. (The Libera Brassica quest was the most fun many of us had as tradeskillers and language geeks when it came out - more fun stuff like that! more fun!!)

I always envisioned something much like what you suggested...more a way to auto-destroy the things you DON'T want than a way to guarantee you always get what you DO want. Just being able to save myself the inconvenience of having to go through my packs and destroy the crap I don't need would make it all worth it.
            How about this instead:

A foraging window is added. There is a field you can set by clicking on a button in the window and then an item in your inventory. When you forage, the check is made to see if you are successful. If you are, a check is made (I'm thinking 20% chance). If it succeeds AND the item chosen is in the forage table of the current zone, then you get that item. Otherwise, you go to the forage table normally.

That way, it ups your chances for what you are looking for, but doesn't guarantee that item on every forage.

Implementing rotating stock would be awesome, but not only for tradeskillers and other vendor miners. It also helps those dummies that accidentally sell a cherished item to a vendor who already has full inventory. (Nope, never did it myself, ever... ummmm... well... maybe once... or a couple of times). It would reduce irksome petitions because the person can buy it back, albeit at a higher price.

Another quest recipie I would like to see learnable is the Twice Brewed Constitutional. Making these saves on inventory space, so I usually make these for personal use. Also, the Smithing combines from Aid Grimel would be nice to have as learnable.

                  Prioritizing the list

                  TOP 5:

                  14) Expanding Jewelcrafting Mastery to other skills and classes
Feel very very strongly about this one. I posted this in the EQ forums the other day. Gave it my absolute best shot to be constructive in tone and suggestions and thereby avoid negative enchanter faction. Hope the arguments are well founded.

                  19) Poison Mastery AA Bugged
Not applicable to me personally, but definitely needs a review. Heard more than a few times that it's not working as intended.

                  13) Tradeskill Super-trophies
Purely selfish reasons here. Some 215 characters self-proclaimed at 1750. Maybe double that in total? After 4 years of game life? Definitely worthy of recognition.

                  21) Adding a new one: Shawl quest 9/10: Yes, I know ... dead horsey/got it from a God, etc. Problem is, I haven't yet read anything definitive on the plan to deal with focus effects from 65 to 70 yet. "Zephyr of Brell" if only applicable up to 65. The stat value of my favorite Velious-era item is sadly diminishing as well. Besides, who doesn't love a new quest! (Please don't make Elementally Flagged a pre-requisite).

                  8) Cultural armor review
Again, at 1750, not worth anything to me anymore, but as a Vah Shir Shaman, didn't stumble across too many Class/Race advantages in my tradeskilling career. Ok ... admittedly I knew my way around Hollowshade!
Seems reasonable to assume that there was intended to have one thing that each combo could specialize in ... a concept lost in more recent releases.

                  #1) See #14 above!
Definitely feel strongly about this one! (ok ... that's 6 ... I'm a bear ... can't realistically expect me to count beyond four!)

                  USEFUL:
                  3) Bag tokens 3A) Showing bag stats 3B) Additional Tokens for bags

                  6) Disparity in component requirements between Plate and Chain/Leather for PoP armors

                  7) Excessively low drop rates for PoP temper components

                  15) Changes to the tradeskill UI 15a) destroy button 15b) sub-totals 15c) log file
"Destroy" button? That the thing marked "tribute"?

                  18) Tradeskill recipes with missing ingredients

                  NOT FOND OF:
                  12) Mid-to-high tailoring bridge recipes
Just a personal thing. I personally thought EVB's cheapened Smithing a bit. I'm very proud to have 250'd Tailoring. Let's not forget the importance of the thrill of the accomplishment. Took me almost 6 months to gather/farm enough supplies for my "massive tailoring run". I still reflect on how much tougher it would have been for those BI. ("before interface"). Again, in my view, there should always be a "worst" ... a "toughest" ... the mountain to climb. I suspect most would agree with me, whether they've climbed that mountain or intend to at some point.

                    Addition to missing tradeskill items:

If you want to make a detailed overview of Cultural armors, I suggest to take a look at the topic I made a short while back; it's stickied in this section. It lists all race / class / deity combinations that currently are possible in EverQuest, along with whatever Cultural armors they can wear. This will clearly point out the combinations which lack Cultural stuff.

As for coherence between the sets, you'd have to write out the stats of all pieces and compare them. I did that a while back as well, but a fair number of items have since been updated already.

By the way, as for a personal suggestion on missing Tradeskill items: add the Rune of Zephyr to that listing (if the list is correct, this *should* be item ID 65294). While it is confirmed to drop off a Named priest in Nadox, if that's the only source then it's way too rare of a drop.

                        Aye!

One of the big holes that I (since I have a character affected by this) would love to see filled in is for Rallos Zek worshiping Ogre Berserkers. They are not allowed to wear Crimson Darksplint armor (which RZ Ogre Shaman can), while Ogre Berzerkers (and Shaman) worshiping Cazic Thule CAN wear Fulvous Darksplint (the CT version)

The problem is that it is quite annoying to constantly forage stuff that I don't want and then I have to take the time to either drop it or destroy it. I was even killed once when I tried to zone to escape death but just before clicking on the zone, I foraged a no-drop item when my inventory was full and died before I could destroy the item and zone.
I understand your plight of zoning with an item on your cursor. I also found this irritating, however, changing forage is not the solution. Press the "U" key on your keyboard when needing to click ANYTHING in the game and it will be "clicked" for you without using any other means. This can be used when zoning somewhere that is keyed, opening a door etc.

                              ***Proposed Storyline***
Tramin Anizok (Nitram's cousin) has recently set up an import/export business in Abysmal Sea, importing parts from his cousin in the Planes. He sells all of the parts needed for the Anizok family recipes, although at a slight markup due to the dangers of exporting the raw materials.

(New vendor named Tramin Anizok, with the same inventory as Nitram Anizok in PoI. To make it interesting you could up his Greed modifier to make the items slighty more expensive if you buy from him, but cheaper if you brave PoI to buy from his cousin)
I think this is a good idea, but the new vendor needs to be put in a PoP zone like PoK or even PoT if one of the goals was to put him in a 46+ zone. You would need the GoD expansion to go to Abysmal Seas and Nitram was introduced with PoP.

One thing that the Dev's might consider is that new expansions throw drop rates out of wack for things....

Before PoP, lots of people were in Velks getting velium but now the number of people killing mobs there (for exp) is much much lower so drop rates for velium should probably be increased (ala velium weapon conversion).

This is true for lots of older tradeskill things.. Sure, they've done some of that already (rain water in bot, essence of sunlight in skyfire, etc.) but it might be worthwhile to make this an ongoing area for suggestions...

The fact that none of the newer expansions have velium drops (for instance) but new options for skillup paths are rarely added makes this an important issue for newer tradeskillers...
