  • Getting to Abysmal Sea?!?

I have GoD, but have never been to any of the zones. I am relatively new to tradeskilling and hear that AS is the place to be for it. My questions are, how exactly do you get there? Can a level 34 chanter get there safely or should I just resign myself to tradeskilling without AS?

    Thanks,
    Arin

    two ways...
    1. Go to Qeynos -> Qeynos Hills - > Surefall Glade (or) Blackburrow -> Nedaria's Landing -> Docks, find Magus then step 3.
    OR
    2. Go to Any Wayfarer's Camp -> Find Magus and say "Nedaria's Landing"
    3. At Nedaria's Landing, Find Magus in Wayfarer's Camp -> say "Abysmal Sea"

You can also tell Magus in Wayfarer's Camp "Natimbi" to get to Natimbi, and tell Magus in Natimbi "Abysmal Sea"

Magus in Abysmal Sea will port you to either Natimbi, or Nedaria's Landing upon request.

Sorry, just one small addition. At level 34 DON'T go to Natimbi. You die. (I think you may even get refused passage to Natimbi at level 34 and instead get deposited at the zone-in to Nedaria's Landing.)

A level 34 won't die in Natimbi anymore. The majority of the mobs in the zone are now conning dubious and the kos most aren't near the wayfarer camp. I have my level 22 druid foraging and fishing in Natimbi constantly and she has yet to die. Now if you try to kill something in Natimbi at 34, you probably will die

Have a magus at one of the adventure camps teleport you to Nedaria's Landing. Then have the magus at Nedaria's landing teleport you to Abysmal Sea.

Even if you go thru Natimbi, you are relatively safe now as you will zone into the camp with the magus and the unnamed animals in the zone are not KOS any longer. Just have the magus in Natimbi teleport you to Abysmal Sea.

Unless there's a zone connection I haven't found yet, I think you skipped a zone in this route. From Surefall Glade or Blackburrow, you need to go through JaggedPine to get to Nedaria's Landing.

If there's a more direct way, I'd love to know it, since I've got one toon hunting in Nedaria's Landing recently. (Finally got her an adventurer's stone, so I'm mostly taking the more direct route now, but still...)

Thanks for the info on Natimbi being safer now. And, being able to get their with low levels. Foraging expedition coming up!

Do you need to have LDON to use the Magi in the adventure camps? That seems to be the simplest way. Use one of them to go to Nedaria's Landing, then Abysmal Sea.

I believe you do need LDoN to use the magi.

You need the LDoN Expansion and the "Adventurer's Stone" charm-slot Augment.

Is there a minimum level for using the Magi?

You might need LDoN, but you don't need the adventurer's stone to use the magus. My 8th level cleric has no adventure stone and recently used the magus to go to Abysmal Sea for the tradeskill quests.

Actually, you do not need LDoN to use the Magus. That's one nice feature that they put in. I thought the adventure's stone was needed to use the magus. Maybe they changed it when I wasn't looking. You will (of course) need GoD to get into Abysmal though.
