    No, you'll get your name changed to, the artisan formerly known as....

    Or you can choose from an unpronouncable symbol.

    Or would that be just for bards?

      Personally, I wish I didn't have to walk around with a title in front of my name; and if I do, at least let me make up the title. And if I have to have a title based on being a gm smith, then I think it should be "Armorer" or "Master Armorer." But being a ranger, simply "Scout" works for me. I could care less if someone can see how many AA's I have from looking at my name; I'm not out to impress anyone. Some of the highest level titles sound as if the person is in old age, and I don't see why your level should dictate how old you are.

        Just one thought... it's a stupid personal thing, but here goes...

        Some people have suggested having the titles be gender specific, which I don't know if they can do or not technically, if so, I'm all good. I'd be happy to be a Brewmistress or Tailoress (not that I'll ever 250 tailoring ).

        However, if it's not possible to make them gender specific, then let's really not make em gender specific, and by that I mean, make titles like Baker or Brewer (or whatever you've got that's more creative), and avoid things ending in *master and *man. (Wow, I sound like a feminist, I'm not. I'm just jaded from a long time being a dread lord. Dread lady anyone? Also, I know we're not making up the titles here, so I'm really just hoping they make em like I'd like em. )

        I think there are some fantastic ideas here. I'd love the ability to show off once I GM my first tradeskill, and if I'm still playing EQ in five more years, once I GM them all. I'd also love to be Lady Tishalulle the Artisan or Lady Tishalulle the Culinary Grandmistress more than Lady Tishalulle the Baking Grandmaster. (Dropping Duchess as soon as I can, I always liked Lady best, then Baroness, and Duchess just sounds like I'm a pretentious fat lady with crumbs on her bosom yelling about chopping people's heads off.)

          Whatever titles become available for tradeskillers, I do hope that the top ones will ONLY be available to those who have GM'd the particular skill, and an all-inclusive title such as "The Artisan" should ONLY be available to someone with 250 in all the 7 skills.

          It might work like this:

          skill <= 100 ............Apprentice <skill>........ ex: Apprentice Tailor
          101<=skill<=200.......Journeyman <skill>........ex: Journeyman Brewer
          201<=skill<=249.......Master <skill>...............ex: Master Smith
          skill = 250...............Grandmaster <skill>........ex: Grandmaster Fletcher (Bowyer?)

          skill = 250 in all 7 traditional skills = The Artisan

          So if I wanted to choose a title, based on my skills I could choose to display from any of the following (in addition to any other tirles I might earn through other means, of course):

          Journeyman Tailor / Smith / Brewer / Jeweller / Fletcher (Bowyer?) / Fisher
          Master Sculptor (need those last 4 points!!!!) / Master Researcher
          Grandmaster Baker

          I hope it will work something like this, but it would certainly use up space in the database, what with 4 possible titles for each skill plus the final "The Artisan" title....whether that's an issue or not, I have no idea.
          Master Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name
          Silky Moderator Lady

            There is only one way I will not gripe or complain about titles...and that is if they do not allow people to use the one's given from the BOTB tournaments:P

            I want to be the only "the Silent" on my server, seeing as I actually earned it!

              Perfectly possible since the current AA titles use gender specific terms like Master, Mistress, Baron, Baroness, etc.
