I think that yes, you will be able to choose, but only from the titles that you have "earned", sorta like SWG does. That is at least the gist I got from the SUmmit. So you will not be able to choose ANY title... just titles you have earned.

Title for having 250 in everything:

      Oligarch (spelling?)

For being level 70 in my class (rogue), considering I hate the level 65 name Deiciver, I want either one of:

      Knave (first choice)
      Pimpdaddy (second choice)

Either sound rather roguely, don't you agree?

        Brewing - Zymurgist
        Brewing+Baking - Gourmet
Pottery - this one is hard because all the potters I know are Artists and some are Sculptors (A clay mason would make buildings and walls from clay which we can't do at the moment in game), actually most of them just call themselves Potters, maybe Ceramicist would work (not to be confused with a Ceramist who is into engineering not art)
        Brewing+Baking+Pottery - Caterer

Distracted Druid Storm Warden of JinXed on Vazaelle

(see that Moderator tag - well that is for the Vazaelle marketplace, my posts and opinions should not be considered as anything but my own and not reflect poorly on the folks doing all the hard stuff here. )

Please don't take this personally Silound, it's just one of my minor pet peeves:
A smithy is a place where a smith works, not a title for someone who works with metal.

ObConstructive: Tailoring title for a female character = seamstress.
Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

Yup Itz, you are exactly right. Claymason and Smithy were two I sorta dug outa thin air, was drawing a blank for good ones.

            Edit for spelling mistakes

Well, if it's from a list of titles, then that's not too bad, but if it's completely custom, like the surname, well then I can see all the name violations coming in.

Although, I do have to admit, i did chuckle when I saw a "Baron Vahn Moochowsen" the other day.
              Draggar De'Vir
              92 Assassin - Povar

57 Druid of Tunare - Povar
47 Druid of Tunare - Lockjaw

Hark! Who is that, prowling along the fields! It is Draggar De'VIr, hands clutching two hardened pitas! He cries gutterally: "In the name of Thor the Mighty, I hereby void your warranty, and send you back to God!!!"

Well it looks like Artisan has it!

If any EQ devs read this can we get artisan for all
                  7 tradeskills at 250?

I would prefer The Artisan as a surname. But I would
be happy with Artisan as a title too.

                  (well once I actually get 1750 =P)

                    Blah, artisan is so... bland.

                    I want Tradesmaster.

dark elves should be able to choose: Dark Overlord of the Universe.

aa titles actually don't mean a lot.. baron means you have 6+, while your archtype means you have 18+. The "+" in either case could be hundreds. I'm only at 120 or so, but i still have my archtype title, mostly cause chanter class ones are less usefull overall than archtype and pop adavanced. I don't expect to see my class title in another 50-100 aa either... and the difference between 18 and 200 aa is, well, moderately significant.

I would like the option to remove my title and not have it visible.

I like 'the Artisan' as a title tagged onto the end of a major tradeskiller. Lets people know you're a tradeskiller. Mabye not quite all seven though, mabye tradeskill specific for GM 1 tradeskill and the artisan for more than one Gm'd.

An idea for brewing, for those of us who does not speak german...

                            Brewmaster/Brewmistress

                            Or for halflings... Barrelrider

I have to say that I REALLY like the idea of having the title of "Soandso the Artisan" for any character that reaches level 250 in all seven tradeskills. One to six per server = it's cool.

Granted, this isn't a tradeskill title, but I would like to have something identifying my class alone, not shared (Elder is for shaman, druids and beastlords.) I don't really care if it is flashy or not, just unique would be nice =)

Here is a wishlist =) (so far)

                                Seer
                                Alchemist (for tradeskilling shaman)
Guktan Elder (signifying my race =) )
                                Lickity

*GasP* 300 is my new target!!
