  • Scent of Marr

Was trying to make some Celestial essence and the guy in PoK selling Scent no longer has it on Povar. Did this get removed or is it a bug?

Was there on Prexus when my brother made some yesterday.

        more stuff...

I heard at GOD beta, that they put code in for certain things to run out of stock for a certain amount of time. but if you go to east commonlands, the chick near the WC zone will always have it.

This is just a rumor with two exceptions. (I think)

The High Quality Ore vendors run out of ore, but there is a quest to restock them.
And I think there is something about bread at a vendor in freeport or qeynos?

A few years ago there was the Muffin shortage as the farmers in the Karana's could not produce anything anymore. It was during that time that also the Qeynos Badge quest series was implemented, with followers of Bertoxxulous spreading disease and all. Maybe you are thinking of that?

Actually there was a bread shortage. You'd have to go to a centaur in SK to get a bag of bread and deliver it to the vendors, who would then have bread for a little while. And yes, it was tied to the plague in WK where the broodmother would spawn with a bunch of broodlings and she'd drop such uber lewts as diamonds and so forth (assuming the wave of 20 broodlings didn't slaughter you on the spot). Was back in... summer 2001 or so when the plague was in. It was cured at Luclin release and I lost my favorite faction tool (the muffin quest! which all old world cities had - it's the only reason I can walk the streets of north freeport - baked muffins only!).
