A little ice cream, anyone?

Summer is approaching once more, and really, isn't it high time (after five years) that SoE gave us an ice cream recipe or two?

I think this would have to be brewed, rather than "baked" (an oven or a spit wouldn't do our recipe any good after all)...

We'd have to start with a cask, some ice of velious, and a bag of sea salt (or two - all those who've made home made ice cream understand the function of salt)...

Throw in milk and/or cream, and a cup of sugar...

Flavoring of choice (any of the in-game berries, Marr cherries, chocolate, mint, chocolate AND mint, etc.)...

And possibly a dairy spoon to stir it all up and VOILA! ICE CREAM!

How about a tinkered ice-cream maker that uses the 'functional frost modules' from SolB?

Hmm...there could be sorbets as well.

Could use that ice of velious as a ingredient. I have had it in my bank for a year and it still hasn't melted.

really like the useing frost modlules from SOL B to make the Icecream maker...


Bucket + cogs + Crank + Frost Module + mana battery = Icecream maker

Saline solution = 2 Salt + water

Cream base = 2 Milk, icing/sugar/sweetener, 2 eggs any type!!, flavoring (for variations on recipes more RECIPES!!) mixed in pot. Type of egg = how much base you make. Like with dough. Hell Plain ole EGGNOG would work here...HECK YAH use the non XXX Eggnog recipe for the creme bruele base.

Clicking on Maker opens up two parts of the icecream maker- you put the salt and water in the upper seperate slots...close the maker click ONCE to activate it...then when it opens automatically again...you put in upto 3 portions of the eggnog/cream base and fruit or chocolate or caramel or nuts...and click MIX...

You get out 4 or more portions of Ice cream a NO RENT item!! It melts silly!!

Flavorings would be Berry essence, celestial essence, rum essence (for rum raisin recipe! dwarven favorite!), pixie rainbow essence (pixie dust, berries and fruit ), vanilla, spice etc...

To make essences you'd need superior gnomish spirits + the items and a cookpot and spoon to stir it all...
Some would be alchemy, some poison, some brewing to give all chance at them...
Bakers would make the raisins, foragers could give bakers grapes and nuts to be baked !
Caramel would be 2 iceing plus a malted milk slow cooked in pot ....
chocolate sauce be two chocolate one icing and one malted milk slow cooked in pot...

Why all the elaborate recipies?

Each in a mixing bowl:

Milk + cream + sugar + vanilla = vanilla ice cream
Milk + cream + sugar + chocolate = chocolate ice cream
Milk + cream + sugar + tea leaves = green tea ice cream (for the new age people)
Milk + cream + sugar + habanero pepper =

(all these are made with ingredients that are available now, the possibilities are endless! Make Fungoid flesh ice cream!)
