It's probably just the evil RNG, BUT....
I decided to work my shaman's Alchemy up and try a trophy...
Skillup rate was good from 176-188, stalled a little at 188 (2-4 stacks of hawk's eye tunics?) then finally on to 190....
Was going to try for a trophy, but thought I'd get that last point out of the hawk's eye.... Filled up on 10-shot hawk's eyes, gave them to an alt, filled up on 10-shot hawk's eyes again... Decided to go for trophy, failed, gave hawk's eyes to alt, filled up again on hawk's eyes....
I've ended up with like 40 hawk's eye potoins and I was getting a good skill-up per 10-shot except for 188 and then the utter hell of 190...
So, to the meat of this post...
I noticed the skillup formula has a min(190, skill) mixed in... Is it possible that there is a bug at 190 skill? Has something changed in the code (I do have skills with other chars over 190, but it's been months or maybe even years since I did them)...
Is 190 some magic skill level of hell that bankrupts and drives insane all who attempt to skill out of it?
p.s. Had either a 261 or 265 wis, tried without kei and with, tried with geerlok and without, tried zoning, tried greater form of the bear and not, tried begging the computer, tried raving at the computer...
