Actually, Itek, i think you are reading just a bit too much into it.

I found the post explaining the macros useful. I had never bound a hotkey to say a movement key, and really wasn't aware of the possibility until recently. I really haven't played seriously since Velious, as I said before.

As I write this, on my old computer, I am running what I call the 3*macro, on my new computer. I've got my timer going so I know when to hit the key again. After this I'll check my email, and do my Quicken stuff, heck, I may even level my guy later on!

A long time ago, when I had chores to do, I used to go through the old cycle of:

    kill-med-timer-chores-kill...

I found it to be... stressful. Constantly up and down, and the chores seemed to take forever to get done. Some people probably will use it that way. I personally don't like to.

I hope to master foraging at some point tonight. No tea leaves as of yet, but I've got a couple plains pebbles.

I have a friend who set up a fishing macro on one of his alts.... and the last line was sending a /tell to his main to click his fishing macro button again. No need for a timer then... he had it built in!

        Even easier...

A friend of mine used a lego robotic set to build fingers that hit keys for him. Last time I saw he had 2 extra tireless fingers poking away on different timers.

This isn't much different from that dunking bird theory /chuckle.

I've kept quiet about this for about 4 years now. In all that time I haven't seen anyone else mention it. Maybe I should go buy some Lego stock and post it everywhere. *cough*

What I found, using a stopwatch and the /say command, was that the /pause command was limited to approximately 60 seconds
I have four different computers that I run EQ on.
              Athlon 2000 XP+
              Athlon 1400
              Athlon 1800XP+
              Celeron 700

              I use:
              Code:
              /sit
              /pause 3
              /afk
              /pause 1200
              /camp desktop
I use this for all my caster toons when they're medding and I feel like just getting up and going to bed / bathroom / dinner without watching them log out. It pauses 2 minutes before camping.

                really?

                you are sure?

are you including the 30 seconds of /camp?

because the documentation says max pause is 600 period... (and it's serverside so you could be running a 486/33 and it'd take the same time)

"You may now enter pauses in social batches with the /pause command. /pause takes an argument from 1 to 600 (600 = One minute), with the value being equal to the number of tenths of seconds (i.e. /pause 100 will yield a 10 second pause)."
