  • New Tradeskilla looking for what I need

I was wondering if anyone coul dpost me a list of all the tools I will need such as skillets, skinning knives, etc for all the tradeskills I will be raising. I will be the guild tradeskilla on my 65 Clr, and 65 Gnm Enc, so the only skills I wont be doing are Alchemy and I think poisonmaking. All your guys help will be great I am sure.

    Thanks,
    Strabo

You'll need a shaman to do alchemy and a rogue to do poison making, so you're right that you probably won't get into those. Go back to the main site and look for the guides and recipes (you can re-sort by trivials) for each of the skills. Your enchanter might start by GMing Jewelcraft (and it pays off to do the AAs in jewelcraft mastery). Your cleric, depending upon race and your own inclination, could pursue initial tradeskill in any other. What does your guild need most? Smithing for armour and weapons? Baking for stat foods?

For each skill you want to grandmaster on the same character, past the first at 250, you'll need to put AA points into New Tanaan Craft Mastery. Get ready to do a lot of time farming or spend a lot of plat buying your components and good luck!

Generally, you won’t need every tool, unless you insist on making one of everything, just because. Ex: in skilling up in brewing, you won’t need a Corking Device.

Go to the main site (www.eqtraders.com) and click on “Learn a Skill”. You will find links to various player-created guides for each skill, that provide basic knowledge and also what the writer believes is the ‘best’ skill up path. Ex: Brewing – fishing grub + flask of water in brew barrel = fetid essence, trivial at 122.

However, although I shouldn't spoonfeed you, it'll lead to bad habits on your part check out these links:

        Smithed tools: http://www.eqtraders.com/recipes/rec...r=080100060000

        Pottery-made tools: http://www.eqtraders.com/recipes/pot...r=080090100000

The above links should provide infor on almost all tools used in recipes. (Some are cultural.)

other tools: Look up tinkering for Geerlock devices and the Corking Device, look up the Fisherman’s Companion quest for how to get yourself a summon-able fishing pole (pole broke? Summon another!)
Master Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name
        Silky Moderator Lady
Beneath the silk, lies a will of steel.

Click on my Magelo and look in my first 4 bags. Those are the ones on the left btw. I think I carry every tool there is.

            Tools List for Everything

Okay, as everyone else says, you should definitely peruse the sections on raising skills to make sure I don't miss anything, but here's my list for skilling and making. Also, I suggest you get a Geerlok for every skill you're going to master. Don't get one for a skill until you start skilling up that skill, but when you're done, you should have 8, and you might consider skilling up tinkering early on to make the Geerloks yourself, and some of the other tools.

            Baking:
To skill up: dairy spoon, filleting knife, non-stick frying pan, pie tin, cake round.
Once you're a GM, add: skewers, wok, crab cracker.

            Brewing:
            To skill up: nothing.
Once you're a GM, add: corking device.

            Fletching:
            To skill up: planing tool.
Once you're a GM, add: nothing.

            Jewelcrafting:
            To skill up: nothing.
Once you're a GM, add: reinforced jeweler's kit.

            Pottery:
            To skill up: sculpting tools.
Once you're a GM, add: nothing.

            Smithing:
To skill up: file, smithing chisel, smithy hammer, cultural smithy hammer where applicable, Luclin mallet and anvil (see Shar Vahl quests for getting these, which you'll need for shadowscream armor).
Once you're a GM, add: nothing.

            Tailoring:
To skill up: skinning knife, embroidering needle, hickory handled shears, elm handled shears.
Once you're a GM, add: nothing.

That should get you started, at least. Take note that some of these tools can be self-built (smithing can be used to make many of them, for example) so think about synergies as you decide what to skill up in what order. Your best bet just from a tools perspective is to take smithing to 50 or 60 and then build tools for the others as you come to need them.

Good luck getting all those skillups. You're in for a lot of work if you're going to be supporting your whole guild in this, but take it from one among many tradeskillers: it's a great feeling when everyone in your guild knows you're the go-to person for tradeskills.
