  • id like to see the ability for a person with a 250 skill, and a trophy, to be able to make a No Drop Lore Augment for themselves, which has that skills trophies skill mod and maybe *some* stats - i know it would be too overpowering to turn every trophy into an aug with the skill and stats, but maybe make all 6 or so augments match a single trophies stats.

This would be a great incentive to hit 250 and would allow people to clear up bank space without losing the skill mod

not quite a full trophy, but still a nice way to augment your gear and clear up bank space at the same time...

    • Okay here's my 2cp worth of a reply.

In order to get your grand master of all crafts trophy you get a quest bag and you do a no fail combine of all seven of the craft trophies.

i.e. you have to have 1 ea of the normal trophies to make the final one.

have the stats on end combine be similar to the aide grimal end items, and like wise have the time be tradeable so that melee's or casters have a version.

      http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=20380
      http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=20379

This would give access to a raid level item to non-raiders who were willing to take the time to become grand masters in all seven basic trade skills, while staying within the general scope of a pre-existing trade skill related quest and it's result.

        I LOVE THIS IDEA!!

As for stats I would like a super trophy to have stats on a par with the earring but not require all the **** flags!

I am close to being elemental flagged and one of the reasons I have been pushing to get there is the earring. It has been so frustrating looking at that earring and not being able to do it.

Now that I am close to getting the upper levels of the earring I am wishing that the trouphy was something that is good enough to go back into my ranged slot.

I think that stats equivelent to the 7th earring are not out of the question concidering the dificulty of getting this much skill. If you are worried about level 10 characters using it you can make it a level 60 recomended. That way it would scale up as you level.

Getting Keyed to enter VT is a massive effort and if you think it is easy get your level 10 twink flagged for VT and loot the most sought after item in the most restricted zone in the game ... .... ARGHHHH

Actualy There is a great ability they could add to the super trophy

Make it so that anyone with this trophy could buy items for 1% less than anyone else. Lord knows we have flushed our share of plat down the many holes of Norath. 1% wouldn't open up any serious exploits.

          • I love this toolbelt idea.

I wanna take a crack on how to do it
from what mechanics I see in the game.

How about for every tradeskill at 250
you get 2 toolbelt slots (kinda like a
backpack) but in its own UI. If
you get all 7 you get a bonus rather
then 14 slots you get 20 slots.

(OK the next is a guess on how they
can implement it in game with the code
as it is). Now this new tool bank
window you have goes with you
wherever you go and its 100% wr so
you don't have to worry about the
weight of tool. The only thing you
can place in this tool bank are tools.
They can somehow mark items as
tools like they mark items for class
diety. So if you try to put something
in their thats not a tool it just
won't go in (like trying to put on
a piece of armor that is diety specific
            and not your diety).

Now you can put your tools like
            smithing hammers, needles, geerloks,
trophies. This gives you the option
of adding future tools to it easily
and swapping tools out if need be.

And any geerlok or trophies bonus in
their would apply to you it would be
            like wearing it.

Now if you use the new tradeskill UI
to do a combine it will first look
for tools in this tool bank (and it
will return the tool to the tool bank
            if autoinventoried) of course if
            you are experimenting you would
have to manually take it out and use it.

Does this sound like a good idea?

And if so do any developers think it
            can even be implemented?

OMG, that is SO overpowered LOL. I would love to have a +15% dodge mod on my shaman, would make me never get hit.

I love the idea of 1% cheaper buying cost thing. But perhaps instead of buying things cheaper, vendors BUY things from us for 1% more, kind of a "Vendor's trust us, as we have bought so much from them already."

It depends on what the +15 means. If it's an absolute increase in the percentage of dodges (I think it's ~6 percent normally, adding 15 to that would give you a 21 percent chance to dodge), than it's insanely overpowered. If it increases your chance to dodge by 15 (relative) percent, it will take the chance to dodge from 6 percent to 6.9 percent. Not a huge deal.

                • The most realistic suggestions so far seem to be:

5% (although if we want to limit it to 1750 tradeskillers, the mod could be 1%)mod on all skills (or increase skillcap to 252 so that no mods are necessary).

                  Toolbelt

                  component conservation

summon lore no drop coin reducing bag

Some sort of alternate title (Grandmaster Damuri or Archon Damuri the Artisan... we all get the idea)

Uber faction with merchants so you get better prices than the rest of the world

summon 100 wt (just too heavy to be of any practical use other than sit in your bank) no drop bags with more than 10 slots (say 12 slots) perhaps you can turn them in for a lore no-drop 12 slot 100% WR bag.

Do we need to be 1750, just need 7 trophies or both?

If we make the uber trophy too useful in gaming terms, every time flagged player will get there... trust me on this. The same guys that will grind away and PL their characters to 65 in 3 days will have no problem with getting their tradeskills to 250 in a very short period of time. All those "casual tradeskillers" that got to 220+ on all their tradeskills will soon become "casual tradeskiller" that got 250 on all their tradeskills. We really need to keep the reward sub-elemental (as far as utility for XPing or raids). I know too many people who went from ZERO tradeskills to 220 in all tradeskills for the AG quest in the last 6 months to believe that these same people wouldn't get themselves to 250 in all tradeskills (and lets face it, we are really talking about 5 tradeskills that require any effort at all and only 3 that are very difficult and only one that will drive you to drink). These guys have a lot of plat (they never need plat for anything other than spell components or arrows etc.) cuz they get all their gear from raids.

If I could get the title, the skill mod and the 12 slot bags, I would be happy. If you want to put some stats on there, make sure the stats are not high enough to entice the mainstream (unless you think everyone should be in the 1750 club).

                  • I think it should be 1750 + all seven trophies. No ifs, ands, or buts. This shouldnt' be a cakewalk to get, and should be worth the reward.

                    • I'd suggest you don't want to make this a super augment because there are some crazy enough people who will just level up tradeskills to GET this super augment, and honestly that would cheapen it for me. I'd like to see a 5% to all, and a multi tool. the only problem with this is the baking tools. I couldn't even conceive in any semi realistic (even in a fantasy world) spoon/pot/wok/pie tin/muffin tin/ginsu knife multi tool all in one, but I guess its "magical" or something. No one should do Tradeskills for stats, on a trophy, a super trophy, or whatnot, and I honestly don't think you should be getting too many stats for it. Not to belittle the 1750 club, but wouldnt a right click grandmaster satchel, 5% all, multitool item be NICE? It benifits the exact person whos looking for a super trophy in the first place. As for it being too "complex" for devs to make a 5% to all mod Im sure they could figure it out. I still don't even understand half the % mods coming out on time/god items.

I really like the turn in for all the trophies plus skill check. simple easy way to add it into the game, just another npc in pok.

But it's GOTTA have a sexy graphic that makes people say "HEY, theres a tradeskiller."

                      • The modifiers would be great and stat increases would be nice... but I would really want a 10 slot bag that I could preform any tradeskill combine in. Maybe have a tab of known recipes for each tradeskill. It would allow for 1750's to preform any combine on the go... forge, pottery wheel, kiln, loom, brew barrel, et. al. After all wouldn't that be the most usefully thing for a 1750 GM?

                        Thank you for your time.
