Celestial Essence, when made from arguably the 2 most popular ingredients, 1 being celestial solvent, and the other being Essence of Marr (a liquid from a poision vendor), this can easily be done in a mixing bowl.

Just wash it before you make dough.

Well, my rant was that the 2 ingredients needed for CEs are vendor bought, and something like poison vials are just as cheap to buy, but are tedious to farm the parts (animal pelt).

It was just a rant. I'll stop here before I get booted to the PSR.

        DOH!

        (Sorry, couldn't resist)

But what about the runes, etc..?

Unless you're suggesting that the celestial solvent is acidic?

If it is, and the essence of Marr is a base, watch out!

Celestial essence is just salt water!!!!

As a rogue I'm mildly annoyed that I have to go buy yet another container to make CEs, when I already carry around a mortar and pestle at all times. Why not let us do the combines in both?

Ad a gnome, I'm going to bust out the collapsed mixing bowl recipe and take out my annoyance on tradeskillers with too much plat.

I have it on good authority that Words and pages are printed on rice paper, and that runes are atrually made from compressed salt (thus their high value to vendors, and yes, its magical salt), thus almost any liquid would dissolve them in any semi-hemispherical container. Work with me here....

Sorry to break it to you, but since GoD launched and the new UI, rice has bene in short supply with all the toons working on drunkeness, er, brewing.

They're actualy using all the petrified wood, wood bark, and branches of oak to make the paper now.

And the runes are NOT SALT! I know, I've licked quite a few!

I still vote for the salt water.

Solvents are meant to "dissolve" things. They could be either an acid or an alkali, but either one will do.

The most unviversal solvent is, yes, you guessed it, Dihydrogen Monoxide. PH is 7 in it's pure form. Pretty nasty stuff really.

Here is a link to some facts about this dangerous substance.

                          From an article here http://www.ocweekly.com/ink/04/28/a-coker.php

LOVE THAT DIRTY WATER Do you suppose there could be some connection? The city of Aliso Viejo is about to officially ban dihydrogen monoxide—turns out that’s water—during the same week that marks the fifth anniversary of a meeting where federal, state and county officials unveiled a multimillion-dollar plan to finally clean up chronically polluted Aliso Creek—a plan that is now deader than a puffed-out fish floating atop a stinky creek mouth. Truthfully, these events aren’t related: one is a hoax perpetrated on the Internet, and the other is a hoax perpetrated on local taxpayers. Several years ago, the comedy duo Penn & Teller tricked the international environmental organization Greenpeace into backing a ban of a "deadly" chemical called dihydrogen monoxide. Like AIDS-infused needles sticking out of theater seats, the unclaimed fortune of Nigeria’s crown prince and GeorgeWBush.com’s Sloganator, the threat posed by dihydrogen monoxide lives on on the Internet and somehow reached the Aliso Viejo City Attorney’s office, which drew up a law banning the dangerous-sounding stuff until those kind souls at the American Plastics Council alert the city on March 12. D’oh!

The only people this would seem to hurt are those of us who carry around a Mortar and Pestle, but have no use for a Mixing Bowl. Poison making, non-Baking rogues of which I am one. Course it was a hassle for a larger group of people to carry around a Mortar and Pestle just to make these essences.

I guess they needed to move the recipe to make it work correctly in the new Tradeskill UI. Makes sense. I lose a bit of convenience, but its worth it for the overall good. However, there must have been some initial reasoning for making it a Mortar & Pestle recipe to begin with. And why is that reasoning no longer valid?

I would have hoped they move it to the Glaze Mortar, as that seems to make a little more sense. In fact because they didn’t, makes me thing the Tradeskill UI will never be implemented for that container.

It "makes sense" in a Mortar and Pestle, but I suppose a mixing bowl can work as well.

Besides, just be glad they didn't move it to the brew barrel
