Collapsible mixing bowl now not working with new UI

Pardon me if this has already been mentioned but...

Two nights ago, I did my baking as normal. Collapsible mixing bowl opens with new UI, all is good.

Tonight I get on to do some baking, and the new UI does NOT open with my bowl. So I went and bought a regular mixing bowl and it is not working with that either.

*sigh* every recipe I make seems to be getting broken with regards to even using the new UI.

is this related to the mortar and pestle "fix"? anyone else having this problem?

Seeing that nothing was patched, I wonder if it did break. You cannot have 2 containers open with the new UI simultaneously. You also cannot use the new UI from bank slots. Husband used collapsible mixing bowl last night, I believe, without any trouble. Try using it alone without the bank and see if that fixes the problem.

I never have the bank open. Plus I went to the erudite baking vendor (no where near the bank) and bought a new mixing bowl which did not work. Zoned, neither still works....

Did you perhaps switch the Tradeskill UI to the "off by default, ctrl+right_click to use" mode?

Can you open other tradeskill containers (other than world containers), like a Collapsable/Small/Large/Deluxe Sewing Kit, Tacklebox, or Spit with the tradeskill UI?

yep can open oven and brew barrel no problems.

hmm i just tried collapsible spit and cant open it. will try others.

well, i just tried cultural sewing, cultural fletching, and deluxe sewing kits and none will open the new UI.

I can open world containers with it though. It's not turned off.

after playing around with this for half an hour or so, i just clicked the off button on the sewing loom in Pok (it was opened with new UI at the time). THen i opened it again. It opened with new UI despite teh button being clicked (it was still clicked and i never hit CTR R CLICK, just left click like normal). Then I could open my collapsible spit with the new UI. Weird bug. I still can't get the CTR R CLICK feature to work with world containers (not that I would really want to...) sorry for the panic

Not a bug, sorry.

World containers (ovens, forges, looms, brew barrels) are default to new UI when accessed. Old tradeskill interface can only be accessed by pressing Experiment.

Portable containers (spit, mixing bowl, tailoring kit, fletching kit etc.) can be either default to open new UI on right click, or, in your case, default to open as an old tradeskill container. When the latter option is on, the new UI can be accessed by holding down the CTRL key while Right Clicking the tradeskill bag with the mouse.

I TRIED holding CTR R and clicking to open.

It did NOT (I REPEAT NOT) work! with any container.

I NEVER once turned off the new UI with any container (WHY would i?) When I logged on, they were not working. I tried, CTR R Click and it did NOT work.

I started clicking on all world containers. When I have the button turned on for new UI, none of my containers will open with the new UI. When I have the CTR R CLick button pressed down, I can open with teh new UI. CTR R CLick does NOT work on any container for me.

I know about CTR R click. I am not stupid. I have been tradeskilling since you had to make arrows one at a time.....

Anyway, it is a BUG with me at the moment. /shrug

I think there's a bit of confusion. To open the container with ctrl-right click, you hold down the ctrl key and right click on the container. I think you got confused and were holding down ctrl and R keys and then right clicking.

I think you got confused and were holding down ctrl and R keys and then right clicking.

Aye, confusion created by Sony in their wording of the instructions.

If indeed this doesn't work for you (CTRL+Right Click, not CTRL+Rkey+Clicking), try reloading the window locations for your UI as perhaps the new UI window is set at a location outside your viewable screen. /load your_ui_name (without the 1)

As of 6 hours ago, my collapsible mixing bowl was working as intended either in experiment mode or the new UI mode.. I also had it open to new UI mode WHILE I had a world container open also in the new UI mode. Both a brew barrel and later an oven.

yes i have been RIGHT clicking.

Oh and I remember not being able to CTR in order to get a single item, pelts not stacking, spider silks not stacking, etc. and it wasnt stupidity to make arrows one at time back then. It was cheaper. (if the sarcasm comment was in relation to me being stupid at making them one at a time).

You might try your other CTRL key.

I've found that my right side alt key does not work for showing a list of items when at a vendor, but my left side alt key does. Dunno why, just the way it is for me. Might be the same for you and the Ctrl key. One might work and the other not.

I'm sorry, but I think I am still confused. These sentences seem to say that you were:

(Right) Clicking,
Pressing CTRL, and
Pressing "R" key

This would be the incorrect set of key presses. I was pointing out that you must only:

Right Click, and
Press CTRL

If you are holding down the R key while attempting to access the new UI by holding down CTRL and right clicking (R+CTRL+RightClick), it will not work.

If this is not the case, and you haven't been holding down the R key by mistake, I do apologize. There could very well be a bug with the collapsible mixing bowl, though someone else posted here that they were able to use it. I don't own one myself. SOE did manage some how to break quest recipes so this might be broken too. Many people I know were having issues accessing the new UI once turned off (either willfully or not) because they were trying to CTRL+R+Right Click instead of just CTRL+Right Click. Heck, I even made the mistake myself until someone explained SOE's bad communication attempt.
