  • Tradeskill Emote

I was thinking of the fun things you could do with animated remotes recently and as usual one thought collided with another and I came up with the Tradeskill emote.

I was thinking that once you reached a natural skill level of 250, you would automatically be able to display a skill defining emote, some kind of grand gesture (instead of a minor animation.) For example, brewing you could mime mixing a cocktail or tilting your head back and touching your nose with your finger; baking, the double handed belly rub and smacking of lips; tailoring, hmm not sure how you mime being in a straitjacket, etc....

Of course, it'd be useless. Mostly for fun and for showing off, but also could be used for proof of skill. Just something to add a bit of depth without any sort of power.

Reminds of the French film "Manon des sources" when Daniel Auteuil sews the hair ribbon of his unrequited love, Emmanuelle Beart, to his chest.

OMG. I didn't think anyone else was in to foreign film. That movie, Manon of the Spring in English, was pretty good. However, I liked the original, Jean de Florette with Gérard Depardieu. It was a classic. I really like Yves Montand from both movie. He really made those movies special.
