Bars of Shimmering Steel

Hate to asked, but I have been using search all morning with no luck, also searched every EQ site I know of.

Just need to know how to obtain Bars of Shimmering Steel. Im sure its in GoD some place. No luck vender farming in bazaar.

I'm trying to find sources for both these and the aligned ore. Anyone know good farming spots?

You will not find the bars. Except maybe in the bazaar.
Aligned ore and shimmering ore are mob drops. I have not heard yet if foragable.
The ore when placed in a forge is converted to bars of aligned or shimmering steel depending on the ore.
The combine process must be "learned" by a quest and will yield 1, 2, or 3 bars. I have not been lucky to get 3 yet. 6 out of ten times i get 2 bars.
Alternatively you gan hand the ore to a quest NPC on the Queen of Thorns and get bars back. (lesser quantity i suppose).
Aligned ore drops randomly in Natimbi.
Shimmering ore will drop deeper in the tougher zones.

Aligned ore also drops in Ferubi, for what it's worth. I dunno if it was any particular mob type.

Raw shimmering ore has been reported as dropping in Kod'Taz. It can be processed into one to three Bars of Shimmering Ore.
