  • Lovin' the New Tradeskill Interface

I have to say that the new tradeskill interface has made my daily trader mule restocking a lot easier.

I try to keep a wide range of tinkered items on my trader. Most of the recipes for these items can be learned and added to my Favorites list. So my gnome carries an inventory of the most common ingredients and can select a recipe to quickly see what else might be needed.

He stands next to a banker and tinkers the needed collapsed containers, geerloks, bow cams, and devices. Being able to tinker without needing to empty a toolbox first is great.

The collapsed mortar & pestle and mixing bowl require four smithed folded sheets of metal each. It was a real pain to run back and forth to the forge to combine three large bricks of ore into one block of ore and the block of ore into a folded sheet of metal. My smith still has to do a lot of running back and forth (bind at a forge, run to a merchant and load up on large bricks, gate to the forge, make blocks and and folded sheets, and repeat), but there's a whole lot less clicking going on!

Thumbs up for the new interface.

    I agree...

I can make a run of 100 grobb's attempts in 45 minutes now... That's no joke! 45 minutes!

Liquidized meats (300 total). 3 item combine formerly requiring 8 clicks per combine. Now 2 clicks.
Soda Water (100 total) 2 item combine formerly requiring 6 clicks per combine. Now 2 clicks.
Final Product (100 total). 8 item combine formerly requiring 18 clicks per combine. Now 2 clicks.....

Constitutionals are amazingly less clicking as well. I haven't calculated it out yet though.

Misty Thicket Picinics are phenominaly less clicking, thus I can keep my own toons and my friends stocked easily, and still have some to sell in the bazaar.

Smithed armor has proved a significant time/wrist savings as well. I did from 206 to 215 so far using the new UI, and I'm astounded how much more fun it's proven to be. I was really tired of the smithing grind, and now I'm excited by it again.

I'm very very pleased with the new UI, and once they get the recipe's sorted out as to what's learnable and what's not, I'll like it even more...

I like this UI also. In fact, some of the skills still seem so ridiculously tedious that I can hardly imagine how retarded you'd have to be to have done it manually before..
