  • Sub-Combines not memorised

    Hi all,

I tried several sub-combines for tinkered recipes and found that they were not memorised and do not show up in the list of learned recipes. A guildie has has the same problem with a couple of other sub-combines for other tradeskills.

I hope this is not intentional or I shall be asking SoE for my GoD money back!

Either way, I have reported them all as bugs.

    Several things to note:

    1. The New Tradeskill UI is NOT part of the GoD Expansion. It simply was released at the same time. Sorry if this was the reason you paid for a GoD Expansion.

    2. The various "learnable" recipes are not all tagged yet.

    3. Reporting this to SoE as a "bug" is slightly wrong... more as a potential oversight.

Also, note that to get a "learned" recipe to record, you must suceed in the combine.

I doubt highly that SoE -intentially- left out the sub-combines to annoy you specifically. Especially if the final combine is learnable.

Oh yes they did.... Really.. they are out to get me.....
      /e looks about.....

C'mon... I'm a druid.. have you seen what SOE has done to me??

      ***please note the sarcasim***

I dunno about not /bug(ing) the lost learned/not learnable subcombines though. If it is working as intended, then meh, but this can't be what they wanted it to be....

      or could it?

"I dunno about not /bug(ing) the lost learned/not learnable subcombines though"

We should not bug these until they have told us they have completed tagging recipies. As most likely you will only be making more work for them when they could be finishing tagging the recipies and fix the ones you bugged in the first place.

Now after they are done we should most assuredly bug/feedback any recipies that we feel were missed or wrongly tagged.

If that were true, we'd code it to work for everyone except you...

          Helper -

I can't really help you out on that one... I don't have any information about which sub-combines aren't flagged as "CanLearn"...

          Krazick -

I don't mind if you gather information on sub-combines that are good candidates for being flagged as "CanLearn", just hand them off to Niami, Verdandi, or PM them to me

I disagree completely. Sending /bug reports will help the developers focus on the items that are problematic. As they continue to tweak the UI, they will be able to fix these more efficiently if they know the ones that are problematic.

my /bug screen continues to be messed up. however here's what i've found so far.

Collapsible spit. Subcombine = spiced hero parts, smoked hero parts. Got the message "You have learned..." but it does not show up in my list. Final combine of "Hero Sandwich" does not show up on list either, although i got the same "You have learned..." message.

I chose not to make the same attempts in POK (which is too laggy for my poor 3 year old computer).

Other than my UI's confused memory, i LOVE the new UI =)

The /bug window is just a little undersized by default. You can find the area which you can type in by stretching the window (up or down).

Both spiced hero parts and hero sandwiches were learned fine in the tannan oven. May be due to you using a spit.

Try a name specific serch after you get the "you have learned..." message. Thats what i did for fletching. Mind you i keep haveing to 'learn' it every time i start a new session of fletching as it doesn't remember from one log in to the next.
