I can easily replace my collapsible mortar with a collapsible mixing bowl, so it's fine for me.

New UI not opening for Mortar

On another thread (one of the two developer ones in this forum) Maddoc actually said a "new type of" mixing bowl would be made for this combine and certain others.
I thought making it possible to do CE's in a mixing bowl was a clever idea, but presumably the list is already way too long with all the new food recipes? /cry
The last thing multiple tradeskillers need is another required container! I already have most collapsed containers as well as most geerloks and various assorted trade related tools taking up precious space, so unless they'd like to expand our bank space yet again... /em prays to the SoE gods... Or what about a collapsible tool chest that would hold all those geerloks and tools so we could just unfold it when we needed them? LOL

Whew glad I read a bit first. was just gonna post this to see if it was just me hehe. must say on a 2 component combine though the new UI isn't really any faster cause of the combine button refresh delay.

By the way Maddoc, I noted that Gizzmu in Abysmal Sea is looking for you... I tried to tell her last night that I'd seen you here, but she paid me no attention, alas.

Not to complain or anything but I tried using the tinkering skill of 250 with my DE to see if I could do any combines and failed 3 stalking probes and 8 bow cams. Leads me to think that it was just showing skill of 250 and not giving nongnomes skill of 250.
I wonder if they can check and make sure. I would really like to be able to use the UI for skills I have no ability in just for easy of use.Amaruk

As a suggestion...
Although the 'Mixing Bowl' fix for CE's is much welcomed, I would like to suggest that the following would be a more general way of resolving this and other issues with the new UI:
Allow the new UI to open for all contianers, but the recipes for trivials >0 are suppressed unless your skill > 0. I think that this would neatly fix the issue for CE's, recharging tinkered items with mana batteries etc.
I fully realise I don't know what is involved in the coding of such a fix, and there may be perfectly good reasons this would be impractical.

Yeah, that didn't make it in this update, unfortunately. They should, however be converted in the next one (and on Test server tomorrow.)

Maddoc,
The new Mixing Bowl wouldn't happen to be 10 slot?
I carry the Marble M&P because it was 10 slot. It will be very frustrating to have to make use of a MB with less than 10 slots.
I would need to hold a box in my hand, buy the 6 slot (or 4 slot) MB, hand the 10 slot bag to another character (in trade window), do the combines in the MB, destroy the MB, cancel the trade. This is a PITA and is certainly a detriment to the enjoyment of the game.Druzzil Ro
