if a guildmember needs to get an item they usually have to port to nexus/bazaar/pok and do a trade, which requires both be on and not afk. What I am suggesting is that you can have a trader up with items for sale, but price other items at 0pp for guild only so they can be loaned out as necessary. also, allowing discounts to allied guilds would be another good feature.

Guild member prices
I'm in a different time zone than many of those in my guild so I like to use my trader to pass items around. What I do is set the price high enough so no one will buy. Then my guildy buys. Then I refund the pp via their trader by buying water or vegetables for the price (e.g.1000pp.)Obina Redemptus

good idea
I just saw that tradeskill guy posting here a few times and figured soe was reading it even if it's not official. my mistake.
overpricing items on two traders sounds like a good way to loan out items. I'll try that, most of the time when I saw vegetables for 1000pp before I figured it was plat laundering.

Sometimes guilds set up a trader with prices so high, no one would ever buy the items, so that other guildies can see what is in the bank. They would shoot a tell to the guy, who would exit trader mode, give them the item, and then go back.

Methods for Guild Discounting
I've found two ways to help out friends and guildmates using the Bazaar. The first, which I shamelessly plundered from another poster, is to put corks up for sale for 100 pp each. When someone wants to borrow funds, I loan them the money, then tell them when they want to repay, to buy a cork from whatever trader the guild or my friends list has running. Nobody will buy a cork for 100 plat, and it's a small enough parcel of plat that anyone can take advantage.
The other way, of course, is to put a message in your guild announcement (or ask an officer to do it if you're not one yourself, or put it in your public message next to your name) that you'll do freebies or discounts for guildies. Then, check your Bazaar list after you've sold stuff, and refund directly to guildmates that buy. I personally tend to give stuff to guildmates for free since they help me in being the resident plat factory, but if that's not feasible this is a good way to give discounts.

Z, hon, you have to ask me these questions /before/ I leave server, k? ^_^
Erm. Nothing to see here, move along, please don't classify Zeal with Thaeds or Gink... Z is harmless in these situations, I promise. ^_^
