  • Muramite = GoD armor for all?

I went to hail a NPC in Abysmal, they all located in a big room close to the bank.

Cleric NPC > Dakkamor Ironspirit (dorf male)

He is offering to make any kind of armor (like the Velious one we had before). You just need to bring him some Muramite pieces.

I saw that some other posted about leather and also called Muramite. I don't know if the Muramite is only for Abysmal area or it is the main GoD armor name. We shall see

Life can reward those determined to win...

People have linked pieces of armor with the names of the quest NPCs in Abysmal. Its all level 65 armor, and has stats better than Elemental, so I'm pretty confident that its high end gear for this expansion.

The bits to create this armor drop from Raid zones, off Raid mobs. Similar to if not exactly like how you get elemental armor in POP.

In short, the answer to your question is "No, the Casual or non-raid guild player will not obtain this armor".

I got a piece of this armor tonight on a raid in Ferubi. Does anyone have information on where to get or how to make muramite silk thread?

          Muramite thread did ye say?

HMMM. If it's similar to Ornate and Elemental armor, then perhaps there's a component that is droppable and crafted that WE CAN SUPPLY. I've made a small profit from supplying the Bazaar with etheral rings - let's be first to market with the muramite rings, sheets, and swatches - cha ching!

Anyone have a theory on the recipie for these?

For reference, the text of the armor quest, at least the silk part, can be found on the Graffe Wizard forum under this thread:

            GoD Silk Armor Quest

Note the part that talks about the thread. I have one of the silk muramite bracers. I have yet to have a chance to chat with the NPC directly to see if she has any more information about how to make orwhere to get the thread.

I will be doing so later today after work to see if I can figure this whole thing out and get my shiny new bracer updated.

One thing I like with these new GoD armor quests is that the item that drops can actually be used right away and has some decent stats. Upgrading it is supposed to make the stats even better.

              Update:

I went to the gnome and talked to him to try to work thru the quest. He talks about reworking the muramite bracer, but when I gave it to him he just handed it back and said he couldn't use it.

Talking to Nalasrine further, beyond the text from Graffe's I doscovered when you say:

              What armor

She talks about 4 infusions that she has for sale. One for each type of armor, leather, chain, plate and silk. They are priced at 10499 plat.

From the text so far I imagine I have to buy the infusion and do something with it.

The gnome in the begining says he will rework the bracer but I have yet to figure out how.

I am going to farm for the other half of the 10k I need and get the silk strengthener from Nalasrine and see if she gives additional instructions.

Which silk muramite armor do you have? There are several pieces of armor that have been found that have muramite in the name, but have good stats already and are useable by multiple classes. It is unlikely that those pieces are for this quest. I would expect the quest armor pieces to have no stats and to have the exact name mentioned by the npc. It would be best to make sure you have the correct quest armor before spending 10k+ on components.

The quest NPC text makes it clear that you hand the item to him or her BEFORE getting the infused materials. When you hand the item to the NPC, they rework it and hand it back. Once this is done, you then combine it yourself with the infused materials.

This is undoubtedly to prevent multi-questing.

The bracer I have is this one:

                    Muramite Plated Bracer

Yeah I know it says plated in the name but it is for silk wearers. People on different boards I have read believe that this is the stuff you can upgrade, though from my experience with the 1st gnome, this may not be the one.

It is thought that they wanted people to feel the instant gratification of getting a new items and be able to put it on right away and then worry about upgrading it later. (Trying to remember where I saw this info, actually read it in a discussion regarding beta some where.)

Wrong piece for the quest. He wants Muramite Bracer Armor. The same piece is needed for all classes.
