    Hey folks,

GM poisoner here. Laugh all you want! GM vial, 30 AAs into poison/proc mods, BM pestle, and 2/4 sketches so far. No, I am not off my medicine. Anyway...

Last night I went to start the process of clearing out my Poison Mule. He currently has about 22 10-slot bags entirely full of poison reagents - mostly full stacks. I was going to turn some of my guild's wonderfully donated Twilight Worms and Nodding Blue Lilies into 10 Dose Dreams of Drusella, a poison in which each proc is about equal to a successful evade in hate reduction.

Anyway, my problem is, I HAD TO MAKE EACH ONE BY HAND. I made 80 Drops of Mercury with the tradeskil UI, I made 80 Celestial Essences, then turned those into an equal number of Celestial Suspensions. However, "DREAMS OF DRUSELLA" is not listed in the new UI.

EVEN AFTER IVE MADE 80 OF THEM .

The new UI is great, because you can make alot of poisons just by clicking. However, I was under the impression that if you made a poison not on the list, it would be added to the list.

    1) Has anyone else here experienced this same difficulty?
    2) Perhaps this is a difficulty only in Poison, or with certain Poisons / combines, due to their rarity (cmon, poison... nobody makes that
    3) Is it possible I am doing something wrong? Suggestions are
more than bloody welcome at this point.

    -Pennyphilcher, AnnoyingRo

Did you use a collapsible mortar and pestle for your combines?

I found that my collapsible medicine bag does not learn the recipes, but that a regular medicine bag does.

I have not tested this with other collapsibles yet.

    Just a thought.

Try searching for the recipe. I've found that with some recipes, they're there in your recipe book but they're not on the main trivial list.

After that, add it to your favorites.

I have a collapsible everything, and I know the mixing bowl, sewing kit, mortar and pestle, and fletching kit all "learn". (But the bug is still there where it "forgets' the recepies after a relog sometimes). (Thank god the mixing bowl worked after making close to 500 misty picnics with a 205-231 skill).

But, I had to do what Libbie said, search for them after I've had a success. First few times I had to attempt at a Misty, I had to do it manualy, but after the first success, I searched in the oven (typed in Misty, hit search) and it popped right up, added it to my bookmarks, and it's there now perm, but I haven't tried other ovens yet).

My poison skill was at 131, and I made a languid lixtwig poison (triv at 162), some nematocyst poison (triv at 160), and a monk's hood aconite (triv at 193-194). All 3 were learned with my collapsible.

PS - I have a mercuric ore and I can get some gnomish spirits, I'll try it tonight and see if I get the same results as you did, it is possible that the recepie might have been "left out".

Bought a new jewelry bag in Abysmal Sea to get going on my druid's Jewelcraft, and that bag learned the quest recipe for "Simple Clasp" however, it did not remember the recipe the next day, i had to combine successfully again the next time I tried to make em, and it got added.

The rest of my experience has been that some of my recipes are remembered with my collapsibles, some are not.

Really not sure what that means but, since it's all new, I'm figuring it's just going to take them a while to get everything perfected.

I do agree, though, the new UI is sooooooooo much nicer than the old click/drag thing that now having to do a combine manually, makes me think i'll just go do something else instead

            re

            1) It is not listed under the regular list of trivials, under favorites, under the search strings "dreams", "dream", "Dream", "Dre", "Dr. Dre", " Drusella", "of", or "ARRRRGH!"

            2) The combination was made with a Black Marble Mortar and Pestle, the 10-slot player-made one.

            3) It did not come up after >50 successes, 3 relogs, like 8 zonings, or combination in a regular M&P from the vendor in PoK.

            4) It did not come up after a successful combine in Bazaar, Nexus, PoK, PoTranq, PoEA, PoTime, East Commonlands, or Queen of Thorns.

Because this was posted within another thread here and thus somewhat hidden, I'm putting this info up for viewing. Tanker (SoE Developer for those not familiar) nicely dropped by and clarified a few things for us with regard to the new UI.

              --Myrron

Reposted from within another thread (Link ):

              one more time:

              1. Recipe's marked AutoLearn in the database will automatically show up when you have a skill >= (trivial - 50) and you perform a search which the recipe matches.

              2. Searches can only return 100 recipes. If a recipe is not being found, and you know it's AutoLearn, then restrict your search by limiting the trivial's involved, or entering part of the name of the recipe (usually the name of the item created). Note that there's a text message displayed in chat when you hit 100 recipes on a search, telling you this.

              3. Recipe's marked CanLearn in the database will not show up in the recipe list until you perform one successful combine of that recipe in the old interface (experiment). After you have been notified that you've learned the recipe, you can then search for it in the new UI, and use it to perform combines. If you successfully perform a recipe combine in the old UI and don't get the "you have learned" message, then you either already have the recipe due to it being AutoLearn and within range of yoiur skill, or it is not marked CanLearn (for now, that may change later, of course, but then you'll have to "learn" it after it's changed).

So, if you tried it in Experiment mode and were successful, but didn't learn it, then check again to see if you can search for it by name (it might be autolearn). if not, then you can't learn it right now.

              4. Marking said recipes AutoLearn and CanLearn is a work in progress. A lot of recipes can (and probably will) get marked as one or the other in the near future.

              5. All data about what recipes you "know" is stored on the server, as is the recipe data. You can't find it on your client side... it's not there.

              6. Some people want to switch the Right-click/Ctrl-right-click functionality of Tradeskill containers. Just click the "Use CtrlRClick" button on the new UI, and regular right-click will open the container in the old, bag-style; you'll have to Ctrl-right-click the bag to bring it up in the new UI.

Hope that helps. I won't be responding to requests for this recipe or that to be marked CanLearn/AutoLearn. I don't do the marking, I don't make the decisions. I would suggest compiling a list here on EQTraders somewhere and submitting it through Niami after a while.

I found out last night that I didn't have my ore anymore, and none were in the bazaar.

I'll look before I log today and I'll also chekc on occasion when my vacation starts (Wed).

                I use a collapsible mortar & pestle.

                    re

BMarble is what I use standardly. I tried also in regular.

Apparently its simply a 'conquest' thing - IE SoE released an expansion BEFORE IT WAS FINISHED. No biggy, I'll just hold off the old making for a while

The collapsible medicine bag lets you learn recipes, but, they never show up in searches using the collapsible bag. I ran into the same problem with the collapsible spit. When I bought a regular medicine bag, the learned recipes showed up, same with using an oven as opposed the the collapsible spit. This occurred with several recipes, and I /bugged them both.

The Tradeskill UI isn't part of the expansion. It's something that was released at the same time.

Has nothing to do with the containers...

ALL POISONS that using a sketch like dreams of drusella are still not in poisons list...

                            Bringing this back up,

                            http://home.comcast.net/~corinari/po...nt_recipes.htm

States it has a minimum skill needed for a success.

The OP stated that he has his GM's vail, so we can assume that his skill is >200.

Maybe it's because it has a level requirement?
